Vimala College admission 2024 is ongoing for UG and PG programs. Calicut University has released the UGCAP 2024 Second Allotment for admission to BA/B.Sc/B/Com/B.Voc courses. Students can check the seat allotment result by entering their CAP ID on the Calicut University UGCAP portal @ugcap.uoc.ac.in. The last date of fee payment to confirm the second allotment is July 02, 2024. Other important updates are as follows:
- PGCAP 2024 registrations are open till June 28, 2024. Interested students can register online on the Calicut University PGCAP portal @pgcap.uoc.ac.in.
Vimala College, Thrissur is a prestigious Christian educational institution for female students in the state of Kerala. The college is under the CMC Management and is affiliated to the University of Calicut. It was established in 1967 following bifurcation from St Mary’s College, Thrissur. In the year 2015, Vimala College received its Autonomous status.
The college currently offers sixteen UG courses in BA, B.Sc. & B.Com and thirteen PG courses in MA, MSW, M.Com and M.Sc, and is a Centre for Research in English, Commerce and Physics offering Ph.D. program.

- All candidates except those apply for the 20% seats under management quota are selected on the basis of merit of marks of the last qualifying exam followed by personal interview.
- Admission to Ph.D. is done on the basis of entrance test followed by Interview.
- For Ph.D., candidate must have passed Master’s degree in relevant discipline for eligibility.

The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the UG programs is a pass in 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board. Only pass at 10+2 with science stream candidates are admitted to the B.Sc. program. For admission to the B.Com. Program, candidates are required to have studied at least one Commerce subject at 10+2 level. Selection of candidates is done on the basis of 10+2 merit, followed by a personal interview.
Candidates seeking admission to the UG courses must fill the application form online and send a hard copy of the same to the institute campus. The application fee can be paid using credit/ debit card or net banking. Those wishing to pay the application fee through DD can send the same along with the hard copy of the complete application from.

Vimala College, Thrissur offers post-graduate level degree programs in the disciplines of Arts, Science, Social Welfare, Home Science and Commerce. The courses that are currently being offered include M.A. in English/ Malayalam/ Economics/ Sociology, M.S.W., M.Sc. in Botany/ Chemistry/ Physics/ Zoology/ Mathematics/ Nutrition & Dietetics, M.Sc. Home Science with specialization in Textile and Costume Science, and M.Com. in Finance.
The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the PG courses is a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant or allied discipline. Selection of candidates is done on the basis of merit of marks scored in graduation and interview. M.S.W. candidates are selected on the basis of entrance test score followed by a Group Discussion and Personal Interview session.
Prospective candidates may visit the official website of the institute and fill the application form online. A hard copy of the complete application form must be sent to the institute campus after online submission of application. The application fee can be paid using online payment modes such as bank cards or net banking, or via Demand Draft.

Vimala College Ph.D. Admission 2024
Vimala College, Thrissur offers doctoral level/ research program in the disciplines of Arts, Science, and Commerce through three research centers, viz. English Research Centre Vimala College, Calicut University; Commerce Research Centre, Vimala College, Calicut University; and Physics Research Centre, Vimala College, Calicut University.
The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the Ph.D. courses is a Master’s degree (with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks) in the relevant discipline from a recognized university. Selection of candidates is done on the basis of entrance test (conducted by the institute) score followed by a personal interview session.
Aspiring candidates can contact the institute and obtain the Ph.D. application form and prospectus in person or by post. The application fee for Ph.D. courses can be paid in cash or demand draft.
The candidates must send a research proposal, along with a duly filled application and DD for the prescribed fee (if applicable), to the institute for selection purpose.

Candidates seeking admission to Vimala College, Thrissur can apply though online mode by visiting the institute website, or offline by collecting the application form in person or requesting the same via post. The process of application is as follows -

- Mentorship quality. Teachers are good. They support us in every academic needs.

- Campus is not so big to explore. Some teachers only support academic matters not arts.
- Canteen is not students friendly. Price of everything is same as outside campus.
Admission:
Since Vimala College is an autonomous college, the admission process is through their own college website. Interested students should apply through their website with plus two score(for ug applicants). The cut-off for UG Mathematics was near 85 and above in 2021. There are also reservations for SC, ST, OBC and other backward caste students. Their application fee is a small amount and if you get admission you have to pay near 7000 rupees as first sem fees+additional charges included. They conduct exams and publish results at correct time without any lag.
Admission:
Eligibility is 10th and 12th or equivalent from a recognized board. Application forms are available online. Application fees and dates are also available on their official sites and also we can consult the college authorities. Distribution of 50% is marked under merit, % of the reservation. Open Quota for 65%, Scheduled caste for 08% and Scheduled Tribe for 02%.overall it's good.
Admission:
Admission was through an online application on the basis of merit. There wasn't any counseling given. When I got selected, I got a call from the college for showing up and paying admission fees of around 7000. Then the class started. I have taken admission based on merit. But quotas for Christian students are available.
Remarks:
The college has well informed teachers and staffs.It is a prestigious college in Thrissur. It is one of the high ranking colleges in academics.It has an achievement in the high ranking of co-curricular activities. The best part is Vimala College is a womens college which enables vast opportunities for the girls.
Admission:
Admission in this college is on the basis of merit i.e the score of candidate in his or her class 12. For admission process the candidate have to score atleast 50% in his or her 10+2 grade. The candidate can fill the admission form online or offline which ever suits them.

The admission was done on merit list basis. We had to apply within the stipulated time, and there was no entrance test or interview to be given. Hence, I applied for M.Sc. in Chemistry as I was interested in it.

I honestly wanted to take up a course that would be fun, not too stressing over tough exams and all. This looked like what I'd been looking for. Thus, I applied for B.A. in Sociology, and filled in all the forms and got admission.

After completing my 12th boards with good marks that is 50% on an aggregate I applied for admission in this college and my application got selected for admission as well as I also fulfilled the eligibility criteria.
Admission:
You need to have passed class 12th from recognized board with biology as the main subject. The students should have a studied English as a compulsory subject.Those students who have passed HSE from Kerala State Board are also eligible to apply. The admission is done on the basis of merit. You can apply for the course online and upload all your relevant documents. A merit list s .be prepared on the basis of your marks. After that you will be called for a counselling session and granted admission.
Admission:
In order to get admission in the college you need to have at least 45% marks in the 12th standard with one commerce subject. Those students who do not have commerce subject are also eligible to apply only if they have 45% or above marks in class 12th. You can apply online for the course you want to seek admission in and pay the admission fees. A merit list will be prepared based on your 12th marks. My name was in the first merit list as I have secured 88 % in my boards exams. Shortly after that I was called for document verification and later granted admission in the college.
