St. Joseph’s College was established at the Loyola School Campus, Jakhama by the Diocese of Kohima, Nagaland on 19th March 1985. It is now located in a vast campus in Jakhama village.
St. Joseph’s College offers courses like BBA in 2 specializations, BA with 5 specializations, B.Sc. with 6 specializations, and a B.Com. at the UG level. To be eligible for admission to BA, BBA, B.Com and B.Sc., the candidate must have passed Higher Secondary or other equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% marks.
At the PG level, the institute offers an MA in six specializations. To be eligible for MA, the candidate needs to have scored a minimum of 50% in Bachelor’s degree in the desired department.

I choose to join St. Joseph's college autonomous because it is one of the best university in Nagaland with good facility, I join political science department while joining an interview was conduct in which my 10th and 12th pass result and admit card was required and my residential proof.
I chose this college because of the large environment of the college. This college is a gathering of people from diverse cultures and communities. Besides the college has been continuously producing top students in the state.
The entrance exams are not conducted.Merit students are selected directly for admission while the rest are interviewed. I chose this college because I feel it suits me and my study.The college offers a great variety of courses like other colleges so you don't need to go out for studies.
The admission to the BBA Course with specialisation in HRM requires 45% in the higher secondary in any stream. Taking admission to this college is easy. The college issues the prospectus with the form and that form needs to be submitted at the college. This form is then verified and the students are invited to meet the management team. Selected candidates then have to make the payment of fees.
The admission in this college for the B. Sc in Zoology requires minimum 45 % marks in zoology subject or biology in higher secondary. Students are selected on the basis of merit and the availability of the seats. The admission to this college is a three stage process. In stage !, the prospectus cum form is to be purchased from the college for Rs. 200. And after that in stage 2- the duly filled form is to be submitted in the college and then in stage 3 if the name comes in the merit list the meeting with the management team is conducted and the selected candidates make the fee payment.
My whole family is from Science background, but it was never my thing. So I decided in favour of Commerce in 11th and 12th. Now I was looking for BBA and this college was offering it, so I took the opportunity and got admitted here.
I got admission here because I made it to the merit list. I didn't have to give a test or an interview. The selection and admission procedure was simple. I chose this course because I had developed interest for English at a young age.
It is one of the best colleges in the state. I chose Chemistry because we use chemistry on a regular basis, and this college offers great lab facilities with great professors. Admission usually takes place in May, and classes usually begin the first week of June. For admission, this will be based on the merit list, which will be served first.
