The mode of admission at St. Joseph’s College Kohima is offline and admission is based on merit & availability of seats.
Admission is divided into 3 stages:
- Collection, submission & verification of application form
- Physically meeting with the management team
- Final selected candidates to make the payment
How to Apply?
- The application form is available in the admission office from Monday- Friday, at a fee of ₹200. The college prospectus is included in the admission form.
- After the collection of forms, they need to be submitted by deadline with all required documents to the admission department.
- Original documents need to be submitted during the time of final admission in the admission office.

- Four xerox copies of mark sheet (for Bachelors, class 12th mark sheet & for Masters, graduation mark sheet)
- Four xeroxes of admit cards
- Six photos (4 passport photos & 2 stamp photos)
- Original N.B.S.E, NU, or equivalent recognized University/Institution registration card.
- Original mark sheet shall be produced during the final interview time
- Applicants who are residents of other States other than Nagaland shall produce a migration certificate.

Moreover there are a lot of extra curricular activities which we can take part in to gain extra credits which can be used while applying for jobs and all. I did my admission on the 1 week of May and was allocated in on the basis of merit. It gives me a leverage to discover myself and expose myself to the opportunities and curriculums around me to mold myself into being a better person. There are 2internal exam before giving the external exams internal exam are taken in strick manner it is for 30 mark we sit for an exam, and teachers check the answer script very strictly. Our internal is for 30 marks so 20 marks is taken from the internal exam and the other 10mark is given to us through our activity, preparing presentation, Assingments, group project, case study, anything that is useful for us.

The college follows the latest and the flexible syllabus. . The curriculum is project- oriented, theme based and skill- focused. This latest curriculum enhances the skills of the students and make them an outstanding personality when they leave the college after completing the course. The exams are conducted yearly and the subjects have an in depth knowledge of the specialisation area i.e. HRM.

The college conducts the practical classes for all science related subjects. The exams are conducted yearly and involve all the subjects that are related to B.Sc Zoology with its in-depth knowledge.

The course curriculum was as lengthy as we could complete in the allowed time. We had to give presentations in front of people, which increased our chances of removing stage fear. Presentations and projects also had marks.

I thoroughly enjoyed the course curriculum since I was already interested in English. They didn't include books that were too easy for us. It was according to our level, and thus, accordingly strict. Exams were conducted twice a year.

You go on educational tours and field trips to different places each semester. As a chemist we often visit factories and report on them. In the winter, we go on a study trip to various places outside the state, but almost like a vacation. Since it? the Northeast, we usually go to India or South India. We pay half the cost of college maintenance and half of the cost. Compared to other colleges in Nagaland, I'd say we go on tours and other field trips, 99% more than other colleges.
