Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility Criteria for B Tech Admission
- Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India / Persons of Indian origin (PIO) / Overseas citizens of India (OCI). PIO /OCI candidates are not eligible for any kind of reservation.
- Academic Requirements: Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with Physics and Mathematics as Compulsory subjects and Chemistry as one of the optional subjects with at least 45% marks put together are eligible for admission.
- Entrance Examination: Candidates should qualify in the Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination 2023 (KEAM 2023) conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Exams, Govt. of Kerala are eligible (Candidates should have scored a minimum of 10 marks each in Paper I and Paper II) Government allotment as well as management seats. Candidates who have not qualified in KEAM 2023 are eligible for admission to the NRI seat only.
- NRI allotment: A score in the entrance is not required for NRI allotment. However, they have to fulfill the academic eligibility as per norms.
- Age: Applicants should have completed 17 years of age on 31st December 2022. No relaxation of age will be allowed
The admission procedure at VJEC is as per the government regulations and the policies of the KCECMA association declared in the prospectus.
- Government allotment: 50% of the total seats in each branch will be filled by the government allotment.
- Community seats in Govt allotment: 10% of the seats in each branch are allotted on a community basis by the government. Applicants have to submit the relevant docs to prove their community as per the direction.
- NRI Seats: 15% of the seats are allotted to the NRI category as per norms
- Management allotment: 35% of the seats are allotted under the management category on pure merit from the rank list published by the Vimal Jyothi College.

Course Curriculum Overview:
Infrastructure is good in this college. But due to bad syllabus of university, lab hours are getting in sometimes only. Lab facilities for Computer Science Engineering is very good. Some teachers are very bad and others are excellent and friendly teachers here. Google classroom usage is efficient and providing notes and updates successfully by 70% teachers. 3 internal examinations are not good for relaxation and assignments are overload. these will not good to get more knowledge from online courses

I have always intrested in computer science and coding. And the curriculum provides the course to learn different programming languages in each semester. That is the main reason to choose the course. Each semester end faster. That made a bit difficult. That must be improved.

Computer science and engineering were most prominent among others so that is why I chose this. There are around 62 in my class and 200 in my batch. this is very effective and teachers are good at teaching.

I chose this course as I am interested in the field of cyber security and I wanted a base in computer science. The student-faculty ratio is a bit poor as there are almost 63 students in a class and not every student gets proper attention except some teachers, to survive in this college and to be a little popular among teachers we have to be academically sound. All the teachers are having the required qualification and the teaching methods include explanations with the help of ppt and videos. The internal exams were conducted once every month and the exams were not at all difficult to pass even with very little preparation.

Teaching Methods are All good.All topics teaching are Understandable. Some Times the Works are more. The Subjects Of each sem are Being Much better. There Are 8 semesters. Placement sections are being starting From 6th semester onwards. For final Project presentation there is a sub called design project in s5 for get more idea with Final Year Presentation.
