Basically I choose this course because it contains all the subject combination i.e zoology+ botany+ chemistry and at that time I am Lil confused that I should continue neet or not but somewhere it is in my mind that I should give neet a try so I opt for this course coz the syllabus is almost same for biology and chemistry. And my basics got clear coz of this course and the teachers are also supportive.

From an academic perspective the curriculum is a really broad one.The internals are held frequently and almost two test per subject are held . Presentations and assignments are a major part however a more practical approach with more field trips ,in hand projects can be included.

I am doing B.sc.(Life sciences), which should be chosen if you come from biology background in class 12th and want to opt for teaching or research work as career. You can also prepare for other competitive exams as well. The curriculum focuses on zoology, botany and chemistry. So, you can apply for masters in any of them and make a career in any subject you are interested in. Both practical as well as theoretical knowledge is given. Side by side you can learn other things as well by the additional courses provided by DU like finance management, coding, ayuveda, IT skills etc.
I choose this course because of my interest, I am intrested in biology and their branches. Instead of biology, we have to study chemistry and physics, which is a plus point for students. Maitreyi college has a well trained and experienced set of teachers about different departments due to which Maitreyi was accredited with grade A by NAAC. The teachers might overburden you with work but that was their way to hone your cognitive abilities and skills further. They are always there for us to guide us be it an academic problem or our personal problems. They have made everything easy for us. They are very helpful, they provide us notes and necessary pdfs. Also they help us in our assessment and examination preparation. In college, examination are conducted according to semester. Both theory and practical exams was at college. Examination question paper is not so easy as well as not so tough. An average student will be passed but for good score or CGPA, students will have to work hard.
Fee was not a problem for me as my parents have always supported me in this, but that being said It's my responsibility that I use that in the best way possible which was totally worth it at Maitreyi. The total fee for the B.Sc - LS course here was INR 26,860 and some Scholarships were also available there for eligible students.
I choose this program because i was confused about which field i want to choose, and as soon as i came into my final year i know in which field i need to go. Many students who want to prepare for the NEET exam also choose this course as a 1st-year course is quite the same as of NEET syllabus. All the professors are well Qualified and have knowlege about their subject. Most of the professors are Ph.D. holders. Exams Aren't very difficult you just need to study the concept to clear the exams. If you are attentive during the lecture then you can easily chase the exams. Also, no one gets fail in the exam. You get back in you exam and can re-appear next year.
In my course student ratio is quite large like about 120 students were there, but besides having this much nig amount, teacher faculties that we had been provided with, they handle everything with really very calmly. They all, always try to interact with each and every student, tries to collect their doubts, tries to treat us like we are their own children. They are all lovable and trustable. Every professor is a well-qualified person and gives their time to us. Their teaching methods are so good, that I think every child get along with them. Exams are sometimes difficult they sometimes come in bundles, and we don't know how to manage, as we all know that our syllabus is vast and so exams will be. Although it's not that hard to pass, i mean if a student studies well then she will definitely gonna pass the exam.
Okay, so most teachers are perfect there except for a few. They're so dedicated and pay attention to almost all students and make sure the things are getting inside their brain (obviously in physical classes but they try to do the same in online classes as well). And there are 2-semester exams each year (I.e., 6-semester exams for the entire graduation). Each semester exam includes an internal exam where we have to perform practicals, submit assignments, give viva, and maintain our practical file and a theory exam where we need to write 6 question's answers that have multiple parts in 3 hours (in the online mode we're given 4 questions and 3 hours of submission time). It is not that tough to pass an exam, I passed my 2 subjects of the first semester by studying the night before. But if you want to score good you'll need to study more.
The teaching faculty is well qualified and experienced. Their teaching style is very effective. I chose bsc life science course because I had an interest in chemistry and zoology. There are around 50 students in my class. We have continuous assessments for preparing us for the final exams.
My course is B.sc life sciences I choose this course because of my interest in biology as B.sc life sciences course provide a study of both zoology and botany which is not possible in Zoology Hons. as well as botany Hons and this is the reason why I select this course. Taking about the faculty of my college is satisfying I will not say it is upto the mark but we don't face any problem during admission or in college. The science faculty of maitreyi college is great and the teachers are very friendly. During the admission and afterward they help us in filling the admission form. since it's a girl college, the majority of faculty is female as well. There is a good mix of seniors and junior professors, all of whom are quite friendly and never hold grudges. The teaching is excellent. Talking about the exam it appears two times in a year. The passing marks for the exam are one-third of the total marks. The exam is medium-level all you need is your proper notes given by teachers and library books as well.
