My Experience at Maharani Lakshmi Ammani College : An Honest Review

Likes

The first thing about college which I liked the most that it is only a Womens' College were I personally feel more comfortable. The Second thing is the college is well secured of watchman's placed in every gate of college.
Speaking of my campus life the environment of college is very much good with plenty of social interactions and thing which I like the most is the college promotes co - curricular activities such as NCC and NSS and a lot of Cultural and sports events
The other thing of college which I liked is the college timing flexitbility the college sets a flexible schedule to students so that students from farer distance can arrive at college.

Dislikes

The thing which I disliked is the Quality of education as it is average where the concepts of some teachers and be understood clearly but it is very much difficult to understand the teachings of some teachers.
The college infrastructure is small and pretty old they are working on reconstruction of some places such as college park but still the infrastructure is not that good.
The last thing which I don't like about my college is their syllabus. Which is slightly outdated and little bit complex to understand

The internships are average I guess because there is only few internships given to the the students and the stipend is also low I guess. The college did say they would provide internships after completion of 2.5 years not exactly sure about interships in our college.

The atmosphere of the college is so refreshing and the faculties are very friendly and will always be available when needed. Faculty's use effective methods while teaching and opt new modern things to make more interactive session.
Not only focuses on academics but also extra-curriculums. And faculties appreciated for the things achieved.
They have effectiveness placement services and they more regular career advancement sessions which helps us decide our goals.

Dislikes

I appreciate many aspects of my college but improving on bring more internship opportunities will be good.
A bit of professional development would be great to improve.

Placement Experience:

From 5th sem a students become eligible for the campus placements. Total companies visited last year was 83 approx. and placements are 1664 last year. Some of the companies -Wipro, TCS, Infysos etc. The average package is about 12lpa and highest is 18lpa with a good cgp of 8.0 or above. Since it is a women's college there is safety for women and teachers are very supportive and cooperative
For every student without any extra fee industrial skill are provided like tally , MS excel,data analytics
Placement and internship opportunities are provided

Dislikes

Campus is not so good and events information are not provided properly
Irregularities of office staff like always eating lunch
Some staff are not available at the time of some work is to be done we only have to run around them

Internships Opportunities:

Especially for b com students internships opportunities provided by many companies most of the time students get placed in that form only most of the time it is not a paid internship . students will be provided tasks that they need to complete

Affordable and worth the money for education

Likes

The academic is really strong. The curriculum is followed thoroughly.
The teaching staff is really understanding, kind and good at the subject matter
It's a girl college. So the ratio is only girls. With respect to staff there is a ratio of 10:1 in female and male teacher.

Dislikes

The campus size is really small. Which leads to Chaos and noise when crowded.
The exam schedule is not feasible. You might end up giving two internal tests in a single day with only a half an hour break.
The infrastructure can be better if the college. Though amenities are available but things can be a lot better.

Placement Experience:

There is no specific placement for the bsc. Psychology course since a lot of students go for further studies such as masters in psychology. The placement offers service and administrative roles for students who wish to. The placements are not very good as most students join the college for the strong academic base for further studies. I myself plan to get a masters degree in psychology.

College only is providing space to carry projects. Internships will be given by few companies like biocon. Cognizant. Internships will be for 6months usually. Around 10000 to 12000 per month stipend will be given.

Likes

from the begining of the admission till the last date they college took a lot of care.
the teachers were very supportive , oppurtunities provided a women
motivation through varios resource persons and job oppurtunities

Dislikes

i did not like the canteen facility and they are trying to improve
well there is no uniform for the degree bsc students
canteen area is not that good and big , need a sufficient area for the canteen

Internships Opportunities:

After your 3 year course they provide internships with good companies like accenture , wipro, amazon infosys , . provide the oppurtunities for the science students pharma, violo, laboratories, etc..

The atmosphere was quite pleasant and greenary
The faculty was the best in the college and the knowledge
The feast was good and conducted all sort of feast in the college

From 5 th sem the college use to conduct campus interviews Tcs, Wipro , Infosys The package was 3.5lpa depends on the company 70% students got placed from different companies I had plans for higher studies
