Madras Christian College : a colorful experience

The campus is huge and GREEN it's a 360 acre campus filled with trees and deers and porcupines and other animals that coexist inside the campus
There's a freshness of air and a feeling of nature which makes it almost just like home

Dislikes

There are bunch of stray dogs inside the campus which is not really a problem because they're harmless and are vaccinated but to some students it might create a problem
The reception all over the network is bad it's really hard when you're trying to a upload a file or anything

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

the fees for 1st sem is 49 thousand rupees And for the 2nd sem it comes down to 32k And gradually it comes down to a certain amount. There are multiple quotas to apply for, which makes it easier to afford the courses. This feeling structure is for all the other courses.

The atmosphere over there, you can experience how beautiful the place and the people from different states

There is nothing like that..the college is the best

I have completed my graduation in Madras Christian College...my course was b.com general ... aided shift ( morning shift) are the best...there are both shifts aided and self streams..but aided fee are relatively low ..my first year fee was around 24000 ..my class strength was around 82 students and classroom was a gallary where 200 students can occupied.. there are also scholarship provided according to the requirement meets...and also the environment is very great...yearly the fees gets down... second year it was around 14000 and final year was 9000...to enjoy and gain a good reputation this place is the best for memories and to kick start the career

The environment is so good for students to study and indulge in practicals such as photography, extra curicular activities, etc
The library space is so neat. I can just go there and grab a book whenever im stressed. The calming environment definitely improves my state of mind

Dislikes

In my department, the staff weren’t that educated or trained. They would just waste their time and rush their syllabuses during exams
Placements weren’t as good as expected. I feel like they should improve that part and actually place students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

I paid like 45k for odd semesters and paid 25k+ for even semesters due to them being short and have leas days. Exam fees will be like around 1k and arear fees should be paid. Also, when a student doesn't have proper attendance, he can use condo once in his PG which costs arouns 250 rupees

The faculty at the college are really friendly and also well experienced in their field, they encouraged students to approach them at anytime they feel difficulties with their studies or even with personal issues they are always present to help them
The class environment is really nice and peaceful

Dislikes

Since the campus is massive walking around could get quite tiring
The checking in and out of gates can get frustrating at times

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The tution fee for a year is 20 k the first year and it gradually decreases to 8k by the final year .I had to pay 45 k for the hostel and 5 k as caution deposit. There were no additional charges during the course of my education

The infrastructure is amazing. It's filled with lush and green environment which provides positivity
Mcc is known for its culturals. Each department and each hall has their own cultural event every year. The college has various clubs.

Dislikes

The canteen food is not not up to the mark. The current student council are trying to resolve the issues
Most of the cultural activities are reserved for hall students

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The history department is made up of two batches. History Regular ( Theory ) and History Vocational Archeology and Museology. Regular students come under aided, therefore they have to pay only a certain amount of money that wouldn't exceed 20,000. The Vocational students have to pay 42,000 for the first semester during enrollment since it is a vocational course and it comes under the management. The fees are paid semester wise. For each semester the amount varies. For example I had to pay 15,000 in the second semester and 35,000 for the third semester.

Infrastructure of bulidings and Environment.
Staffs behaviour and treating of students.

Dislikes

Some staffs use their power and threaten students.
Especially some staffs those who are in high power use their authority wrongly.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

National scholarship provided by reservation. I got 2000 per semester. And state government also provides scholarships. Ss I am studying in aided so fees is very low. According to marks and reservation quotas financial aid and scholarships will be given. Mostly scholarships are given to financially weaker students. My College facilitates so many accessibility to students.

The surrounding was really good and the atmosphere pg college too was lovely
My faculties help me a lot in my works and I can rely on them

Dislikes

Shortage of faculty was considered and had an impact
The lab facility isn't that great and needs to be worked on

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

1st semester 47000 2nd semester 35000 3rd semester 43000 Am in 3rd sem I mean fees structure is pretty affordable.… Am in sfs batch so that I have a varying range of structure but aided has maximum of 10000 per semester… unfortunatley psychology is not available in the aided shift.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

1st year i paid 52,000 and 2nd year 54,000 and in final year i have paid 50,000 many scholar ship were available for SC ST caste.my frnds got scholorships and many other there buy exactly dont know about that.

The surrounding in the college looks very good when compared to other colleges

When compared to past ten years before the college students were very good in everything but now it is totally changed
