Our syllabus was updated according to Lucknow University, and all the facilities of our college are very good, be it curriculum, academics, or faculties.
Mostly, I handle management work in many cultural events as an intern, and I also work with Viacom as an intern.

Dislikes

I have no knowledge of this. I have not seen any notice of such sort yet, although I have seen a few placement notices. I guess they dont offer internships since I have not heard anything regarding this from my friends.
Very few companies ever visit the college, and even if they do, they only hire 4 to 5 students

The faculties are experienced and teach well. They also support the new students in their academics.
The students are given a space to improve themselves and they're not discriminated based on different social grounds.

Dislikes

The college needs maintenance of the building as the fans aren't as efficient.
The canteen area can be better if there are less animals around the food court.

course curriculum was good. especially courses were job oriented and were able to adapt to latest industry trends. Area of improvement could be structured way of desigining course. Too many subject in one semster.

College environment is very good it has very beautiful campus
Infrastructure is also good and proper hygiene is maintained in campus only

Dislikes

I dislike one thing the most that no student is supposed to go back their home before 12pm wether they have classes or not
Proper water system is available but sometimes clean water not came

Course is very good in terms of curriculum Teachers are very cooperative they make students comfortable around them but I don't like timing of exam paper level is easy to moderate . Project are given according to project performance students got marks in internals out of 25

Things I like about Isabella Thoburn College was the chemistry department of the science building . The teachers of chemistry department are the best ones there , very helpful and also providing so many useful information.
Attention to detail: The best thing is that we were never left confused or with anything.We were provided every information with details.

Dislikes

Practical files : As we are bsc students, practical files are a must .And obviously we have to make them,but the amount of pages teachers give is insane . For a practical file of 10 marks we are drawing and writing 150-200 pages per subject .
Canteen : The hygiene should improve in the canteen .Also they don't have any good thing to eat too.

I would rate the course curriculum 10/10. I choose this course because a bsc degree gives you too many opportunities to do specialization in any field like zoology botany chemistry. Many BSc students choose to pursue further study, which can lead to a more specialized job with better salary, success. Bsc biology prepares you for Research and development: You can work in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, education. You might work as a research assistant, research technician, or clinical researcher. Education: You can teach biology at a university or work in postsecondary education. The improvements required in the course curriculum and teachings methods are : To focus more on helping the student understand the theory well rather than giving them a big practical file to make . The frequency and timings of exams are perfect. Odd sem are held in November,they are theory papers and are of 3 hours .The even semester exams are held in May and are MCQ based questions and are of 1.5 hours.

I liked the teaching atmosphere. Teachers are so supportive and friendly as well.
Practical and internal are easy. Teachers clear each and every doubts whatever and whenever student ask.

Dislikes

Washroom are not that good and clean sometime they smell a lot.
Hostel student have a little more privileges than day scholars.

I choose b.com because it is a degree which anyone can persue easily. I want to prepare for investment banking as well. Teachers are a way too good than expected. Exams are totally based on the syllabus they are quite easy. Exam idea and nooral husaain are best exam preparation books.

Likes

The faculty staff are supportive and helping. The teachers also provide Quality notes and are very cooperative during Exams.
The campus has an amazing library. They have like two sitting areas. Both the areas are comfortable for studying or just reading the books. There are many books available from different genre. They also have many academic books.

Dislikes

Overall Infrastructure. Since the College building is qyite old, the benches, chairs, blackboards even stairs are damaged. Most of the Classrooms does not even have a fan. Even Our classroom has the same problem.
The Department do not give prior notice before any Exams or Internals. No official notices are posted beforehand . They also cancel exams Even after giving us the Exam schedule.

Placement Experience:

There are no placement programmes as such. They do put notices on board but it is either for UG students or for MBA students. There are no placements drives for Zoology students. They also don't encourage students for internships.

Its disciplined environment and security for girls is very appreciable with freedom to express your opinions in an acceptable way.way
All the events, including free workshops and educational programs are very fruitful for students to extend their qualification and helps to enhance one's resume. Also an annual event AURA provides peak opportunities to express vast arrays of talents.

Dislikes

The attitude of some of the teachers from various departments towards students is quite negative and complety unacceptable.
Some rules are unnecessary and very annoying without any benefit like, students are not allowed to get outside before 12PM once entered the campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did M.sc with fish and fisheries as speciality in final year because nowadays because of growing population throughout the world humans are facing hunger and shortage of food and that have had encouraged the practice of aquaculture. It not only provides food but also contributes to India's economy to large extend. And also fishes are very useful in indicating any type of water pollution due to pesticidal runoff or any other pollutants and hence quite beneficial in determining the health of aquatic ecosystems.

The college is dedicated to the welfare of its students. It provides comprehensive support services such as career counselling, placement assistance and guidance for higher studies.
The campus of IT College is spacious and well maintained, blending historical architecture with modern amenities. The college also maintains eco friendly environment by organizing various activities related to nature.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is outdated and poorly maintained. The campus environment feels devoid of any vibrant student life or extra curricular activities.
The college lacks basic facility, proper maintenance of hygienic washrooms. the washrooms of the college are not properly cleaned and some of them are broken also.

Placement Experience:

In fifth semester students have to do internships of 30 to 45 days, which helps in overall personality enhacement of the students. as for the placements, the offered placements are not very good both quantity and quality wise.

I liked it because of its infrastructure

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course which I am pursuing from this college is a bachelor of commerce (bcom). I was more into commerce and economics subject and I also did my 10th and 12th with commerce stream. So I had a lot of interest in that particular field. The curriculum prepares me for coming challenges in my life because it will help me in my further studies which Im also gonna do in commerce only so It will help me a lot in many ways. I will learn to do things that teachers teach me to do which will prepare me a lot for the real world. The curriculum should be improved so that we can get specific goals the desired outcome development of knowledge and skills and attitudes. We have six semesters in three years of bcom in which three are objective based and three are subjective So subjective one is three hours of exams and the objective one is 1.5 hours. The exams are not so difficult if you attend your daily classes and pay attention to what you've been taught in college.

Likes

The teachers are really sweet and supportive. They teach really well, plus be really understanding. Specially the teachers of B.com department are amazing. Our Head of the department is really supportive.
The decoram of the campus is great, I really love the fests our college organises, specially Aura, it is one of the most amazing fest of Isabella Thoburn college. It gives students a chance to show their talents in each different way.

Dislikes

The canteen should have different varieties, it lacks a lot of varieties like basic, coffee, or preserved juices or milkshakes, or maggie. Many other things. It's hard for students to fetch different places to eat instead of eating in the canteen.
The Washrooms sometimes do not have water, and are really dirty specially the one behing parking near back stage. That needs A lot of attention..

B.com has one of the best scope in India. Isabella Thoburn college, Lucknow affiliated from Lucknow University has has really amazing course designed. We have total 36 subjects for three years, and 6 semesters. Subjects keeps changing every semester which gives us a chance to learn different things every six month. It gives us opportunity to choose whatever course we want for our Masters.
