  • The college needs maintenance of the building as the fans aren't as efficient.
  • The canteen area can be better if there are less animals around the food court.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is set by the University and it's relevant and comprehensive enough to prepare the students for further practical and theoretical knowledge of the real world. It prepares a productive mindset of the youth.

Internships Opportunities :

The college provides many internship opportunities through different companies. Some of those are free while some need little investment as they provide stipend to the interns. There are online and offline internship opportunities available for the students at times. One can select according to their preferences.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Bachelor of Arts- The fees paid at the time of admission included: - College Fee: ?3,595 - Annual Fee: ?3,500 - Security Money Fee: ?2,000 - SGA Fee: ?1,000 Total Fees for Complete Course: Assuming a 3-year or 4-year course, the total fees would be: - 3-year course: ?13,095 (college fee) + ?10,500 (annual fee x 3) + ?2,000 (security money) + ?3,000 (SGA fee x 3) = ?28,595 - 4-year course: ?13,095 (college fee) + ?14,000 (annual fee x 4) + ?2,000 (security money) + ?4,000 (SGA fee x 4) = ?33,095 Also, there are two categories of scholars. The regular scholars' fee is slightly less than the fee of Self Financed Students. Scholarship Details: The college provides scholarship opportunities to the students who fulfill the requirements and criteria. In the previous year, many students filled for scholarship and some students successfully received. Internship and Placement Opportunities: - The college provides numerous internship opportunities for all scholars. - Drives for public welfare are organized. - The college also has its own career and placement cell which keeps on presenting new grounds for the career growth of students. Review: Our college offers a well-structured fee system with transparent breakdowns. The fees are reasonable compared to other institutions. The college focuses on personality and skill development, making it an excellent value-for-money option. Rating: - Fee Structure: 4/5 - Scholarship Opportunities: 3/5 - Internship and Placement: 4/5 - Overall Experience: 4/5

Campus Life :

The college organises many events. There are a number of clubs running in the college by the students. The student body manages and organises various activities with the support of the respected faculty members. The Aura which is a college event on a big scale that invites other colleges to participate happens around November - December and there is a very active participation for that. The Sociology, Economics and Psychology Club are the most active groups which keep on organising uncountable events throughout the year. They work on spreading awareness about the important and significant things in the society. The library is average. The collection of books isn't updated and the condition of the books is a bit poor. The journals are updated and there are novels which keep on renewing. The fans don't work in the library though.

Admission :

I applied for the University of Lucknow before but couldn't make it up because my subjects were different in class 12th. I couldn't prepare the syllabus on time. Moreover, I had already cleared the entrance exam of Isabella Thoburn College, Lucknow and got the acceptance letter. So, I preferred it over Lucknow University. Other reason for not choosing Lucknow University remains that the scholars didn't give a great review about the facilities over there. The admission process for Isabella Thoburn College, Lucknow: The college conducts an entrance exam for all the courses. The syllabus is provided on the college website. The selection of the students is fair and thorough. After the selection, the students are supposed to submit their documents within the given timeframe otherwise their seat is allotted to next candidate. The college also accepts students as self financed once the merit list completes and seats remain still vacant.

Faculty :

The faculties are enough for the students currently studying. There is a coordinating relationship between the faculties and the students and they're always available for any queries or help. The Political science and History faculties are very good. Along with experience, they are interactive and very easily approachable. The Psychology and English department also welcomes students without any restrictions. The exam pattern: The college conducts exams known as mid semesters. They're important for the internal markings. The standard of the questions is moderate. The art of answer writing is the most crucial part for a student.

Interview Experience :

The college takes a written exam for those seeking addmission and releases a fair merit list based on the scores of the students. It checks the aptitude and critical thinking of the scholars. The level of the exam is moderate and with right preparation, it's easy to crack.

Night Life :

The nightlife at college is fine but mostly students remain in the premises. There's greenery all around and the campus is very big. The favourite place for hangouts is near the cafeteria. The students cannot leave college until 12 pm and the hostellers need to comeback by 5 pm. Otherwise there outings for weekends gets cancelled.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course structure was well designed and updated with the ongoing preparations of government exams which helped me alot in my preparations as everywhere polity is something that is a mandatory one and hence the curriculum plus the overall teaching pattern the timing of exams and the level of difficulty was moderate if someone had attended all the classes, plus the marking scheme was a bit hard and other aspects like attendance was also included, however there's no such compulsion that one must attend the classes this was only applicable for sessionals

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity University is a well rounded blend of theortical principles and practical relevance that shaped my future career. There are modules like microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and statistics that provide a strong formation for any future career opportunities in economics or finance. Additionally the presence of specialise subject like health economics, developmental economics, international trade, public policy and behavioural economics very highly appealing and something you would not find in other universities or/and government university. The inclusion of such modules got my attention because it promised to go beyond traditional economic subjects and focusing on the practical subjects that are also industry specific level of domain of economics. They were also research projects, data analysis classes, case studies throughout the three year course which allows students to apply and test their knoweldge that further enhance the value of the degree. There were also subjects like environmental sciences, psychology, communicative English which was made mandatory for students that help them shape their personality and adapt more to a corporate setting. The examination system is designed to assess the viability of skills and critically but the difficulty of exam especially towards the end of semester can create unnecessary pressure for students. There will be time that there will be last minute syllabus changes or additional chapters to be considered and there is no structured format of what you can expect in the written exam however there is a fair grading system though some students feel that instead of the exams there can be more emphasis on analytical side rather than modules that require rote learning.

Political science has good scope in future. It helps in understanding society, governance, etc. It should be quite practical not just theory based. It gets boring if we only study thoery. Sessional exams are there in 1 semester along with semester exam.
