Course Curriculum Overview :
There are areas of improvement. But overall, I am satisfied. The faculties are top notch and very well qualified. We are given good case studies and decent companies come to campus for recruitment. Overall the college is a decent college for someone with more than 80 percentile.
Internships Opportunities :
Decent number of companies come toncampus for recruitment. Many industry leaders come to the campus for roles in Marketing, finance, HR, etc. the average stipend goes about 10 to 12k, which is a decnt stipend.
Placement Experience :
Since the number of students admitted is very high (More than 650) and it is increasing every year, the placements are affected. The average placement for MBA core lies between 12.5 to 13 lakhs per annum.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I would say that the fees is very high. We are paying more than 20 Lakhs and the ROI is not upto the mark. The average placement package is somewhere between 12.5 to 13 lakhs, which has dipped this year considering the global recession.
Campus Life :
The campus life is decent in KJ Somaiya. We have many student run Committees and Clubs, which is an integral part of the college. We also have a huge campus, and great sports facilities. We have our own Running Track and a huge Swimming Pool.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostels are good. We all have triple sharing rooms. There are two hostels, Sandipani (Boys) and Maitreyi (Girls). The rooms are good with attached washroom. Girls hostel also has balcony in each room. The food is decent. It is pure vegetarian. Regular cleaning is done in each room.
Admission :
The admission process was good. It qas online. After the shortlists were out, we had two rounds. Round 1: Case Analysis: we were given a case with 4 questions, we had to solve them in a stipulated time. Round 2: Personal Interview.
Interview Experience :
Yes, there was a case analysis and then a Personal Interview. In the case analysis, we were given a case (E Rupee) and then 4 questions were given. We were given 10 minutes to solve the case and answer the questions. Post the case analysis, there was a Peraonal Interview.
