BIM Trichy accepts only the CAT/XAT/GMAT exam score for MBA admission along with other parameters in the final selection process. BIM MBA Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed Graduation or Post Graduation with minimum 50% marks in any stream.
Candidates possessing ACA / ACWA / ACS are also eligible to apply.
Final year students can also apply but they will be required to submit the proof of passing graduation with a minimum of 50% marks by 31st July.

BIM Trichy MBA Selection criteria

The selection procedure is conducted in two stages:

Stage 1: Shortlisting of candidates based on CAT 2023 scores. Read about BIM Trichy Preparation Tips.

Stage 2: Personal Interview (PI) and Group Discussion (GD) for shortlisted candidates.

Candidates will be shortlisted for second stage on the basis of CAT 2023 score of the applicants. The expected CAT cutoff for shortlisting is 87+.

On the basis of availability of candidates, the PI & GD will be conducted at Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Tiruchirappalli.

Academic performance of the candidate in 10th standard, 12th standard, qualifying degree and relevant work experience are the other components which are verified and given weightage during the second stage of the selection process.

The final selection for the MBA programme will be based on the performance of the candidate in all the above components.

All the interaction regarding the admission process will be done over Mail.

NOTE: Reservation criteria is based on the rules of Govt of Tamil Nadu 18% for SC, 1% for ST, 30% for Backward Classes and 20% for Most Backward Classes.

BIM MBA Application Process

Application form is available online and can be filled by following the below-listed steps:

Visit the official website of BIM Trichy
Click on the Apply Now tab.
Enter the academic, personal, work experience details.
Upload scanned photograph, marksheets and certificates of academic records, score card of CAT and CAT registration number.
For online registration to BIM-MBA Admissions 2024, the payment of Rs.2750/- (Rs.950/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates) can be made online. In case of DD, it should be drawn in favour of ‘Bharathidasan Institute of Management’ payable at Tiruchirappalli. Also enter the Demand Draft details while filling the form.
Submit the application form.
Print the application form and acknowledgement Slip for future correspondence.

Letter of admission to the course evidencing the duration and commencement of the course issued by the competent authority.

Ans. Yes, BIM-MBA is a two-year full-time residential programme for all students. All students should mandatorily reside on campus.

Ques. What is the geographical mix of the students at BIM?

Ans. Every batch at BIM shall have representation from more than 15 States in India.? However, about 60% of the batch may be from five southern States.

Ques. How are the hostel facilities at BIM?

Ans. A 2BHK flat is allocated for four students which is pretty much spacious and convenient.

A small batch of 120. Decent reputation, especially in the South. 36 years young and has withstood the test of time. The college didn't advertise a lot unlike others and is very authentic. At my CAT score, this college seemed to be the best, given that I had already done my engineering down South.

The profile of the students are shortlisted based on the cat score and overall profile of the candidate, like work experience, 10th, 12th, graduation marks. We need to apply for the college online and after that if the profile is shortlisted the candidates are called to the venues selected by the candidates out of a list of few centers. On the day of GD/PI, the process starts with a brief introduction about the college followed by group discussion and finished with a personal interview. the candidate should be their own while answering and should also be updated with the current affairs.

I was first shortlisted for a screening process. We had a group discussion. The topic, if I remember right, was "Do celebrities have the right influence on the youth" It went well, with the moderators being very friendly and considerate. Then we had an interview round by three faculty members. For those with prior work experience, the questions revolved around that mostly. They want to see if the candidates possess a clear thinking process. After that they released 3-4 list of selected candidates, each list releasing in a gap of one week.

I feel there is a bit of internal politics. however they do not reflect upon the students. The faculty ensure that the students gain out of their teaching. They are easily approachable and friendly. Its more of a flat organisation where students need no appointments to meet anyone unless it the top most management. The infrastructure needs to improved. The currents facilities just meed our need and not our wants. There is value for money when it comes to academics, food and pleasant environment. But no value when it comes to infrastructure.
