Everything you need to know about BIM TRICHY

UG

Remarks :

The college management is not very active. There is a communication gap because few of the non teaching staff can only speak their native language which makes the student from outside the state difficult to communicate. Also proactiveness in taking decisions is missing.

Course Curriculum Overview :

There are 6 trimesters. 3 in first year and 3 in second year. On an average there are around 8 subjects in each trimester with a mix of 3 credits, 2 credits and 1 credit paper. In the second year the students can choose their own electives based on their specialization like HR, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Systems or General management. 60% weightage is given to internal assessment while 40% is given to end term exam which is conducted out of 100. Internal assessment has various components like mid term exam out of 50, attendance, class participation etc.

Placement Experience :

The college has decent placement with around 90 percent of students getting placed every year. The companies that visit the campus are Infosys, Ernst and young, cognizant, hdfc bank, hdfc life, zoho, thoughtworks, tafe, tech Mahindra, Vedanta and few more. The intership happens through companies visiting the campus and conducting interviews for the students. average stipend is INR 25000. The prominent companies for the internship are EY, HUL, TAFE, Asian paints, 100plus, vdart, Vedanta and few more.

College Events :

Most of the cultural events like diwali, holi, are celebrated in a year. Also there are around 5 sports events which are conducted every year. The various committees like marketing club, hr club etc conduct atleast 1 intra college and 1 inter college event every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fees can be paid online through direct account transfer. Mess fees needs to be paid separately at the end of each month which can be transferred online again. The total fees excluding mess fess stands at Rs. 14 lakhs approx. The fees include the books, internet charges, academic fees, security deposit and all the other components.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college has tie up with SBI Bank and the loan can be availed easily after securing a seat in the college.

Campus Life :

Gender ratio is low with around 75% male students. Diversity is again not encouraging because the college follows tamil nadu state quota for admission. There are around 4 to 5 sports event every where with a large playground adjacent to the hostels and an inter college management fest is conducted every year.

Hostel Facilities :

It is alloted automatically before the academic session begins and the rooms alloted are fixed for 2 years. It is an old BHEL quarter with each 2 bhk quarter housing 4 students. There is parking facility available and the distance between the hostel and the main campus is around 1 km.

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes we have an alumni strength of around 4000 people and are connected using almashines. They help us whenever we ask for or wherever it is required.

Admission :

The profile of the students are shortlisted based on the cat score and overall profile of the candidate, like work experience, 10th, 12th, graduation marks. We need to apply for the college online and after that if the profile is shortlisted the candidates are called to the venues selected by the candidates out of a list of few centers. On the day of GD/PI, the process starts with a brief introduction about the college followed by group discussion and finished with a personal interview. the candidate should be their own while answering and should also be updated with the current affairs.

Faculty :

There are only 5 permanent faculties and are experienced in their own field. They keep the class engaging and the rest of the subjects are taken by visiting faculties and most of them have rich teaching experience alongwith great industry exposure. Out of 10 if I have to rate I would rate it to be 6.

Placement Experience:

Placements are pretty good on this campus. We have had so many big companies to recruit from our college. average salary package to our seniors was around 7-8 LPA. The highest was 16LPA if I remember. Our batch had so many zero selects after the company attended because the election time was nearing and the market was dull. But they will try their maximum to get everyone placed.

Placement Experience:

We are spending so much money to get placed right? so yeah placements are good with 90% of students getting placed. Many companies come and hire students with an average salary of 4.5 lacs. The lowest can go till 2 lacs but unless you are in the college for fun you will not get a such a low salary.

Admission:

No, my admission was based on my entrance exam scores, and they also asked if I had any previous work experience. The entrance exam was difficult to pass; I passed on my second attempt after studying online.

Remarks:

The reason for pursuing MBA program from this college is its tuition fee which is too low. Inspite of low fee, the facilities provided here and the on campus placement record. Post checking the official website I registered myself and filled the application form and paid the application fee firstly. Further, my score in undergraduate and TANCET exam was considered for enrolling me at this college.

Placement Experience:

Around 90% placement is recorded every year in our college. The top recruiters who have tie-up with our college and make a visit for offering job are Zoho, Amazon, HCL, Deloitte,IBM, Tech Mahindra, SBI Life Insurance and others as well. Also, they offer handsome packages to the deserving ones. Though I have not been a part of placement drive. I had asked the details from my seniors and they said that the whole placement process is easy to clear. Most importantly, the highest package offered to our seniors was 6 LPA and the average package reached till 3 LPA.

Remarks:

I am very satisfied with the kind of teaching we received, thanks to our esteemed faculty. Course fee is very much budget-friendly and the infrastructure provided is exceptionally good. Library is humongous if not gigantic.

Admission:

The admission process is pretty straight forward. The MBA program offered by the college is a self-financed course and caters to the need of students who fail to appear for any entrance level management test. You have to just fill out the application form, with relevant details and present all the relevant documents.
