Eligibility Criteria

The aspiorants for these courses must pass Higher Secondary/its equivalent examination (10+2) with at least 4 (Four) academic subjects including English as a compulsory subject but excluding EVS.

Those candidates who would obtain either (i) 55% marks in the aggregate or (ii) 50% in the aggregate with 60% marks in the subject in the qualifying examinations shall be eligible to apply for admission to Honours course in the subject concerned. Admission to a course shall be subject to availability of seats and based on merit.
Provided that for SC/ST candidates, the minimum marks for eligibility shall be (i) 50% marks in the aggregate or (ii) 45% in the aggregate with 60% in the subject for admission to Honours course in the subject concerned.
In the matter of eligibility to apply for admission to Honours courses 54.5% marks or above shall be treated as 55% marks, 49.5% or above shall be treated as 50% and 59,5% marks or above shall be treated as 60%.

Admission Guidelines

Merit List: The college will publish a Merit List on the basis of the results of the applicants in the H.S./equivalent examination and according to the norms prescribed by the University of North Bengal. The Merit List will be displayed on the College Notice Board.

The semester system in the college was quite easier to understand and the college infrasture was clean and tidy

Fees and Financial Aid:

There are two types of fees paid I every 6 months, ie, exam fees and re admission fees which cost around 1000rs and there are various types of scholarships provided by the college- Swami Vivekananda scholarship and much more. As it is a government college there is no campus placement or internship programs.

The fee structure in Siliguri College of Commerce is very nominal as you have to pay around 3,000 for 1st semester and around 1,000 for the second semester, and here you will get a swami Vivekananda scholarship who has got more than 60% in class 10+2 exams.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fees are around 500-700 per Semester and exam fees of Rs.670 at the time of the exam was to be paid additionally. The College also provided financial assistance to the needy ones, they were given around Rs.600 for each semester and the state government provided around Rs.10000 per Year to the students.

The fees are very much low. During the admission, I paid Rs.2950 (including 1st Semester Fees). The fees per semester are around 500-600 and Exam fees additional 400-700. The scholarship is provided to needy ones. The amount varies from Rs 500-1500.
