About WIT
Walchand Institute of Technology (WIT), established in 1983, is the oldest engineering college in Solapur, India. WIT is managed by Shri Aillak Pannalal Digambar Jain Pathashala Trust and is named after Seth Walchand Hirachand, one of India's pioneers of industrial development.
- The institute is affiliated with Solapur University (previously to Shivaji University)
- Approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi
- Accredited by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi
- Recognized by the Government of Maharashtra as "A" Grade Institution
- The institute began with production engineering, environmental engineering, and electronics engineering branches

In this college first of all this college is in minority for jain students they get easily this college but who students are not in jain catagory they have lot of cut of CET . And campus is good I will give 9/10 rating for campus but I don't know about placements.

I get through mhtcet exam and score 80 percentile and applied for this course . The application form,fees,dates depends on that particular college you are applying. Yes you gets the all the reservation benifits depends on which category you belong too. Provide the online admission process so the long distanced students get the benifit of it

The admission process was held by MHTCET and there were 3 cap rounds in which we had to fill our choices and after that according to cut off we were assigned a college. It was centralized process . So you should have a counsellor for your form filling

MhCET and JEE are accepted here nearly 90 percentile is a cutoff of MHCET here for branch CSE and reservation are also here. Fee of CSE is appox 115000 without scollership and it will reduces to 50% after application of scollership

As usual Admission process is same just like other colleges but in this college they give information step by step about how to admission in college , what are the consequences and benefits of this colleges that are personally I liked about this college . Eligibility of the course is just like if you score 70or above 70 percentage in MHT-CET or jee then you are eligible for this college . There are some seats are reserved for JAIN students . Our exam timing is 10 am to 1 pm . so , about 3 hrs time take our exam .

- Some computer system are not worked properly

In my case , I was selected in this college in CSE department because I have good marks in JEE MAINS. Normally students which are come here is from giving CET EXAM. I don't think that entrance exam system is available in this college

- The infrastructure of my college is so adorable.

- The 75% mandatory attendance is very annoying.
- We have to give 3 mid sem papers within a semester.

Eligibility of Electronics and telecommunication is approximately 80%tile in jee main and 85%tile in mhtcet. We can find the application on official website of mhtCET. There is a reservation of 10% for outside Maharashtra candidate

So I gave MHTCET examination and I was like able to select this course so I chose this course as electronics and computer engineering and the fees process was also very easy we just need to pay online or by direct transfer to the bank and just need to give documents and fill the form
