I choose this course because first of all I wanted to become a civil engineer and secondly I know that taking up this course will help me for further competitive examinations. The faculty of the college is super good.everyone is very well educated and come from very prestigious colleges. They teaching with smart board as well as black board. Test 1 and test 2 and conducted everyone one month apart and the difficulty level is not much as long as we study.
I am passionate about structures, buildings, and monuments around me and I have eager to study these structures and all. In our College faculty members are very supportive, friendly, and helpful in all aspects. Most of our faculties do their master's and Ph.D. from top IITs. Some are working on projects in IITs. The teaching methods are better in comparison to other colleges. About the exams, there are two term exams and one end-semester exam to be held in a single semester.
The faculty-student ratio may be 1:15, All the faculties are Ph.D. holders from top institutes in India and are excellent in their subjects. Engineering is more of self-study than spoon-feeding, so one has to put in extra efforts to score well in addition to attending the classes. A good score is necessary for getting shortlisting into placement.
Being government aided college of Mumbai fees is very low. Fees for general category is 3.2 lakh OBC is nearly 2.8 lakh for whole course and for sc&st is 1.6 lakh nearly . Average placement of college is 5-6 lakh and highest package is 21 lakh for civil (2020). There are many scholarships for students provided from central as well as state government .
Fees are more or less fixed. Lowest fees in the city, averaging at 68,000 per year. And great return on investment considering average placement package of around 4lpa . Scholarships/financial assistance is available for students belonging to categories. I was placed in shapoorji pallonji engineering and construction. Package of 4lpa .
The fee structure is a feasible one.Since the college is a government college the fees are only about 60000 a year. this way less than private collges. There are also various scholarships like Tata scholarship which needy students can opt for to pay fees
The course structure is built very impressively. As your level goes high then the subject of that level is taken. Syllabus is so mannered that only important part is taught by them.and no extra unnecessary syllabus.
