Yes, MVJCE supports government and private scholarships. Students can apply for merit-based or category-based scholarships as per the rules.

Are there Ph.D. programs with financial support?

Yes. MVJCE offers full-time and part-time Ph.D. options. Full-time candidates must have a relevant postgraduate degree (minimum 60% marks or 6.75 CGPA) and commit full-time to research. A monthly stipend of INR 35,000 is provided for up to 3 years, extendable by 6 months

My college is best in environment and good atmospere good naturr and eco friendly and staff are totally good

The classes in MVJ college of engineering are good.
The faculties are qualified faculties from various institution

Package and opportunities for some branches are less.

Placement Experience:

The placements are fine. But for some courses the placement and packages are less compared to other courses. for the rest of the courses the placements are packages are good. from 7th semester onwards we wre elibigle to attend the interviews for the campus placement.

Likes

I liked that the college has some rules and they make all to follow those rules
I like the environment because our college is surrounded by trees
I liked they way they teach us and make us learn

Dislikes

I didn't like the dress rules.they are very strict about that
And teachers are less friendly they just do their work

There are many options available in the case of courses. I have opted information Science and engineering course but there are plenty of courses in our college and I came to know that aeronautical engineering is a better course in our college.

Campus- The campus of the college is widespread, with a lawn, assembly point, statue of the founder, pond with fishes and it is covered with greenery. It is big enough for conducting many functions and events. Access to library is also unlimited.
Qualified Professors- The teachers in my department are highly qualified. Most of them are Phd degree holders. They are highly experienced from many government institutions like HAL, DRDO etc, so the learning experience is very good.
Lab facilities- Especially for my branch, there are so many lab facilities, like machine shop lab, fluid mechanics lab, aerodynamics lab, rocket propulsion lab and design amd analysis lab. It really helps student for gaining Technical skills.

Dislikes

Hostel- The hostel is not very student friendly. There are stringent rules which not give the student freedom to go outside the campus after 4pm.
Placements- Comparatively the placements for my branch is lesser than CS, IS and DS branches.

Placement Experience:

There are less placements for our branch compared to others. They do offer basic IT jobs for packages ranging from 3lacs to 4lacs. But the students are guided for other jobs through various tests aswell. Almost 40 to 50 percent of students get placed.

All the technical and non technical events
Campus infrastructure is good and clean...
Good amount of trees are planted all over the campus

Dislikes

It is far from the central bangalore to travel
Very strict about college classes timing ..
Attendance criteria is also a bit too strict, but other engineering college follow the same so its not really a problem

I was interested in computer science and since i wrote kcet exam and got information science course as my branch in this college, I'm happy with it. The curriculum is well crafted and suits to all real world applications. The curriculum needs to be a bit updated. The exams are conducted with enough gap of time period to prepare for them

My Opinion on MVJCE

Likes

Campus is very good. It offers a great experience being around the campus.
Aerospace Engineering department has very good connections with organisations like ISRO, DRDO, HAL, etc..,
Faculties have good knowledge if you get support from them for your projects.

Dislikes

Canteen food is very bad and I heard from my friends that hostel food is not good too.
Rules are very strict. Strictness wise, even some schools are much better than MVJCE.
Placements are not great for core branches especially Aerospace Engineering department.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not great for core branches especially for Aerospace Engineering. You need to equip skills and be job ready by completing courses apart from your college curriculum. Doing good projects and internships are a big plus. Once you have necessary skillset that the industry demands, you can easily land on a good job by off-campus interviews.

good and bad things you should know about MVJCE

Likes

So far connectivity with people especially seniors and fellow mates are most welcoming while I was from different world and environment from this place
Infrastructure of the college is greenery and they also help a kind of rare species of fish along with small statue of the founder of the college
College also supports vegetation in college near college hostel

Dislikes

The management of this college is so so so good that your ia exams will be informed just before we sleep(10 pm) will be held just the next day 8 am
The department teachers will be damn helpful to you with literally anything... no matter what you do you are a hot target for them to make fun of to judge upon and to pass their boring time.
The mindset of the faculty here is the best thing ( worst ) i can think of, in "college" we aren't allowed to sit or to be seen with girls.

curriculum is okay in all base. but they should include more of basics more then complecated parts. well wwe gotta learn all actually but overall its not bad for the course termed relevence. they also include training for interview too so its quiet helpful on that perspective.

MVJ- student's perspective

Likes

The campus is very cool, there's a lot of greenery around ge campus.
A lot of facilities like gym, play ground and auditorium for co curricular activities.
The canteen food is very nice with separate juice corner and snacks corner.

Dislikes

Attendance issue where it is mandatory to have 85% attendance each semester
Travelling to college is hectic as it is located very far from the central Bangalore
Cultural Fests are not much encouraged as compared to other colleges in Bangalore.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Curriculum involves a lot of theoretical concepts right from the basics which helps us understand everything. Simultaneously, internships and projects both on campus and off campus are compulsory which provides us with practical knowledge as well. The frequency of exams is almost a month which is kinda hectic. Difficulty level of the exam is moderate.

According to me, the Information Science and Engineering program at MVJCE Bangalore is good. This is my opinion not because I have completed the same degree from this college, but because I have friends who’ve been to other colleges for the same (or similar) course.

The curriculum at MVJCE is similar to other engineering colleges, but there are certain advantages to pursuing Information Science from there. The department faculty is not only highly educated, but skilled in teaching as well. They were always very supportive, and made us understand the practical applications of each and every concept.

Apart from that, the college placement cell also does a decent job. It was particularly my teachers whose support enabled me to grab a well paying job during campus placements.
