Konark Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) was established in 2001 by Vidya Sagar Charitable Trust. It is the first venture of the Hi-Tech Group of Educational Institutions. The college is located at Jatni in a lush green atmosphere with a sprawling campus of 35 acres. KIST provides quality techno education in a highly disciplined environment at par with international standards. It offers 6 Undergraduate programmes in engineering and technology. - KIST has its 300 seated boy’s hostel and 200 seated girl’s hostel on-campus.
- The hostels are provided internet facilities, TV, Telephone, Refrigerator, Magazines, Newspapers, indoor games and fast-aid facility for the students.
- The hostel also has a common room, library and reading room where the students can interact with each other which is very much essential for professional education

Technovation-2011: It is annual tech-fest, KIST organized an inter college robotics football championship which is first ever event in its kind in Orissa.

Admission:
I took the JEE entrance examination. It is one of the toughest examinations to crack where there is a lot of competition. All the dates on the application form, dates & fees can be found on the BPUT website. There were no reservations but since I was the college topper in my 12th exam & performed well in my engineering career, I was given a scholarship amount of 45K during my entire 4 years tenure. The only improvement I would want to suggest is on the placement part where there were no good companies which our college has tied up in our campus placement.
Admission:
In college, you want a computer science and engineering course in b tech your 12th result is above 60 per cent. My 12th result is 50 per cent so I take mechanical engineering. If you want admission to our college first you give OJEE, JEE or some type of exam then after you take admission.

As I got admission through the marketing staff of kist college. According to me, the college does not need to improve any admission process as the admission process is very easy according to me for that reason admission is very easy in this college. The only eligibility to take admission is to you have to attend the jee main exam or jee after that you will get admission in B.tech.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Yes. Cse is always my fav subject. Lots of practical classes included, great learning experience of codes, logics, concepts. Well educated and highly motivated faculty. The HDO also used to take classes and like to spare time with us. The final semester project is also supervised by faculty.

And the academics facilities were too good. In our library each and every books were available. Our lecturers are very cooperative and complete the syllabus within the time period and also we had some doubt clearing class.

I am in BTech, CSE and this is the only branch which is good in this college, but we don't have proper equipments in our college. In our labs many computers doesn't work and no one even tries to fix them, all are fixated on money. They don't even allow us for internals if you don't pay your semester fees.
Admission:
The college was good in almost all the aspects but there is also some loopholes in the college i. e they need to upgrade the laboratories and proper maintenance and updation is required for the laboratories.

Placement cell take money after providing you a job and they will ask for money shamelessly but the worst part is that they will charge different amounts for same company placement from different students depending upon your negotiation skills.

Being an ETC student definitely I must say this is a golden and ever green subject in engineering career as a lot of scope for growth and new invention for this growing country.ETC is very much chilled subject you people will enjoy this chapter
