Likes
- Classes are conducted for eight semesters based on KTU syllabus, and university exams are conducted after each semester, with a duration of four months. Courses are planned along with labs and workshops. Internal assessments are also conducted during the course.
- Internships are very important for engineering students as they help the students during their placements.
Dislikes
- GEC Thrissur is under the KTU syllabus. The KTU syllabus is really poor and has a low standard. The basic topics required at the beginning are taught last and the hard topics are taught first.
- We only have to pay $8250 per semester for tuition and exam fees of around $2000.

Placement Experience:
We have the maximum placements in the Cs department. We get offers from infoys,TCS and many more.The average package ranges from 10 to 15 lpa.Most of us are mainly focused in further studies and we are given very good guidance by our professors .

- Lack of providing printed laboratory records
- Bad things going on college campus during night time
Course Curriculum Overview:
After joining course, i felt little bit difficult. But gradulally i recover from this as the faculty members helps me. But sometimes, due to shortage of teaching hours, some of the classes become too fast and can't understand the concept correctly. During exams, its badly affected.

- Ragging free campus with pleasant atmosphere.Ragging is banned in our college which makes a good evironment for students to study.
- Freedom .Since its a govt college students are not restricted to show their their talents or showcase their inerests un any fields.we are not answerable to anyone in the college.
Dislikes
- No class tests are conducted apart from the series exams.
- Girls toilets are not maintained properly.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I am good at drawing and designing which made me choose this course.Civil engineering requires drawing skills .This curriculum help me to draw plans for construction fields in engineering in real world.Good site visits and internships would further improve the course.The series and sem exams are frequent.Difficulty level is medium.

- The campus is extremely beautiful and well maintained.college promote many clubs like ISTE,BAI etc.
- Surroundings are neat and clean.Class is very large with good ventilation set up.
Dislikes
- Filter is not working.Hostel is too far from college.It is somewhat difficult to travel during lunchtime for hostel student's.
- Classes are so long and no interval are provided
Placement Experience:
From s5 onwards students have many opportunities to become eligible for campus placement. Companies visited are L&T construction ,shoba,South Indian Bank and many more.My plan is to get placed in a good company with average good salary.

- Filter in hostel is not working and toilets also
- Some teachers do not provide class notes

From 3rd sem they provide interview for placement and also 4th year. Many students are getting placed from our college. special classes are given to students regarding the placement by the placement cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:
It gives practical and analytical knowledge . It provides employability and potential for higher studies. There will be two exams per year, semester wise. The exams are not so difficult but many students get supplies.

- The views and ambience of GEC is remarkable, the campus is always alive no matter day or night.
- The seniors of GEC are friendly and helpful no matter which year or branch you are studying.
Placement Experience:
Students staring from the 5th semester are eligible for placement. . The placements ofb GEC is co ordinated by the placement cell of the college. . The placement cell is very efficient. The number of placement offers varies from department to department.

- The ambience is very pleasant.the campus is spacious.
- The freedom offered was refreshing to me.you can be in the campus at whichever time u wish.

- The curriculum s nature of haste is little frustrating
- The teachers are sometimes a little rude.
Placement Experience:
Students are available for applying for campus placements in the 6th semester .company that have visited or college involves L and T , visco there had been recent surge in the number of offers made. It depends on the status of differnt companies in that particular year .percentage of students getting placed is less may be like 30-40 percentage .I plan on pursuing masters and getting placements via masters or preparing for exams of Kerala government and central government which is ssc and pac

- Class and faculties are good and the class rooms are good with ventilation and lights
- The ambience and beauty is the college is good.

- Mess food is not good... Provides the same food with same menu
- Filter is not working.Since ith is summer climate all prefers to drink cold water

Students are eligible for campus placements from the 3 Rd year onwards.we have a placement cell that helps to get placement easily.They provide all helps for achieving placement in the best company....

- The sport section for the college is great , with professional trainer great equipments and wonderful infrastructure.
- The academics is another highlight of the college with great faculties and provisions for improving oneself
Dislikes
- The lab curriculum is quite bad would love to see an improvement in them.
- The menu for vegetarians is very bad and must be improved.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for placement after the 5th semester. The college has comparatively great placement offers , with the year 2023 seing a record placement in GECT history . A wide variety of companies come for the placement and there are big name in them too. A decent about 30% of the students get campus placement . I plan to do my mtech as my next step in my career.
