DAVIET is one of the most prestigious engineering college located in the city of Jalandhar, Punjab. The institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated to Punjab Technical University (PTU). The college offers UG and PG courses in engineering and management. Candidates can choose from courses such as B.Tech, BCA, BBA, BHMCT, BTTM, M.Tech, MCA and MBA.
DAVIET Updates
- The admissions to B.Tech courses is conducted through JEE (Joint Entrance Examination). Students should apply for the JEE Main examination if they are interested in taking admission into DAVIET.
- Candidates for admission to M. Tech are selected through GATE and an interview conducted by PTU (Punjab Technical University) and the college.
- Candidates for MCA courses are selected by the college on the basis of merit.

The students need to consider following facts while applying for admission:
- Students will have to first apply for the JEE Mains. To do so, students can visit the official JEE website.
- Students will have to pay the application fee for JEE of INR 1000 (INR 500 for SC/ST) for the offline exam. INR 500 (INR 250 for SC/ST) will be the application fee for the online exam.
- After successfully qualifying the entrance examination, students can visit the college website and apply online for the admission or apply through the JEE counseling rounds.

The students need to consider following facts while applying for admission:
- For admission into any of the M. Tech degree offered by DAVIET, candidates will have to first qualify the GATE entrance examination.
- Candidates should first apply for GATE. To do so, candidates can visit the official GATE website.
- Candidates will have to pay the application fee of INR 1800 (INR 900 for SC/ST/Women).
- After successfully qualifying the entrance examination, candidates can go to the college website and fill in the online application for admission.
- From the number of candidates who have applied for admission, candidates will be selected for an interview conducted by the college and PTU, based on their GATE scores.
- Only after a successful interview, the candidates will be selected for admission. A list of the selected candidates will be posted on the college website.

To apply for any course at the institute, candidates must follow the steps mentioned below:
- For admission, candidates will first have to fill in the application form on the official college website. Candidates can also opt for an offline application directly from the college.

I did not applied for any other college as i always wanted to take admission in this college only. When i compared other college with this college the placement of this college is better then any other college and the fee structure is also very less compared to other colleges

- The faculty is quite experienced and their teaching methods are also very good which take in consideration all type of students.

- Placements are average and not many good companies visit the campus.
- Internship opportunities are also limited as not many companies visit for internship on campus.

Eligibility: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biology, securing at least 45% marks. 1. Entrance Exam: Candidates must appear in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main or Punjab State Technical Education and Research Test (PS-TET). Admission process is Very simple and easy , staff is also good although I don't think there is any need for improvement there

Admission is based on the 12th result and the student who appeared in exams like JEE mains or advanced they got extra benefits. If you go for counseling there is a very nominal fee of 2000 approx. And admission fee 6500 including the counseling fee. The admission process is very easy and simple, there are teachers who help you there for admission.

- Rigid rules and regulations follow in the campus and institutions more focus on attendance report and assignment of students do not have adequate attendance take action or fine

The eligibility of admission in the course is +2 pass and get application form from. Reception and deposit to admission cell. If any students get registered them self inthe college so the take first advantage rather other students who came late after admission date

- The fee system is very good .Unlike the other engineering institutions where the fee is very high .Fee system allows less burden on the middle class families .My fees here as a cse student is around 95k for a year .For 4 years it is around 4 lakhs
Dislikes
- The biggest issue in this college is the Attendance issue that really affects the acedmics of student .You will get 0 marks out of 6 even after having 75% of attendance.It increases by 1 mark on every 5% attendancefor example1 mark for 80% 6 for 100%
- The teachers here are just there for attendance they don't teach well just theory theory here .They can't make you industry ready . They just go behind marks and appreciate people who are cramming only.
Admission:
You can have admission to the college by Management quota also .For entering in CSE branch you should have 12th passed percentage of 75% +. Non JEE aspirants don't have difficulty to grab a seat here .if you have JEE exam then you are easily eligible for the college

- Faculty, teachers are very nice in IT field but in civil or electronics the teachers and faculty are very bad specially in Civil engineering branch so I recommend go for Information and technology or computer science branch.
- Campus are not too big it is good enough but the staff there started whispering too early and don't want us to sit comfortably

- As discussed earlier campus is not big enough in dav institute of engineering and technology in Jalandhar Punjab
- I don't like the practical file system because it is waste of time for the students as it doesn't contribute towards learning, just waste of money in printing

It is very easy you can also have counciling for admission to get your favourite branch and if not you can directly go to office and pay some advance money and then they will guide you for the further steps.

Eligibility for B.Tech is 12th in non-medical or diploma in any engineering field. Application form can be found on the PTU site as this college comes under PUNJAB TECHICAL UN?VERSITY. Exams are taken semester wise . And ther are also mid semester exams that occurs twice in ever semester .
