Electronics and Communication was my major and electronics was my passion since childhood and also the electronics industry is booming in India which also inspired me to take up this major. The electronics department at CEC has well-qualified faculties. They adopt digital interactive teaching methods. All series exams and semester exams are conducted timely as per university instructions.
I chose the electronics and communication engineering course because I like electronics. The faculty is perfect and it was good and ok for a student to pass. There are so many expert faculties and they are so cooperative.
The faculty is very supportive but the curriculum appended by the university is quite tough.. my dream was to become an electrical engineer so I choose that course. The exams are done in time there's no issue about that and all faculty members are very supportive in reaching.
CS is more preferable because of its importance in the IT field across the globe 1:10 qualification is an excellent and online and offline method the exam is tough enough to pass as it's under ktu exams are on time
The curriculum is deep but frankly speaking it must have some practical learning rather than theoretical concepts, which is the major portion now. This helps the students to compete with the fast moving industrial world. Faculties where nice and resourcesfull with some being exceptionally well versed. Everyone is helpful and we have many resources available anytime for reference.
The college is aided by the Kerala government. So as every government aided colleges in Kerala, the seat division is as Merit, Management and NRI. Those who acclaimed seats in the merit quota has to pay a fee of ?35,000 annually, which in my opinion is feasible for the majority. Those who got seats by management quota has to pay an annual fee of ?65,000 which seems somewhat expensive considering the college's infrastructure and enviornment. Those who acclaimed their seats through NRI quota, which is very low in percentage has to pay an annual fee of about ?1,25,000 which in every terms seems expensive.
The program fee for our branch was 65000 per year. we had some other extra fees like sports and other charges like aluminium fund and all. we had to give some amount to Pta also. those were mandatory fees required for all branches. Those amount were paid back once we got passed out from college.
The CUSAT 2012 syllabus wasnâ??t upto date. But no syllabus at the time was. As a computer science engineer I think the syllabus was apt and very resourceful. The only issue is that I felt that the number of main papers should be reduced and electives should increase.
It is quite Good. The college is affiliated to A P J Abdul Kalam Technological University. The is also having good placement in various sectors.IEEE SB CEC is one of the leading student in the world.Electrical Department have a good Lab facilities. The Faculties are also very good in teaching.
