BIT Sindri Placements 2022: Average Package: INR 6.50 LPA & Highest Package: INR 44 LPA

The average and highest package for every department varies from year to year in BIT Sindri. But, there are similarities in the figures every year, and the average package is found to be somewhat close to 3.5 to 4 Lakhs per annum for Computer Science. 

There are some companies, like Mu Sigma who offer 8 Lakhs per annum or even more, which can be considered as the highest package in recent years.

• The placement in BIT Sindri has a decreasing standard in recent years and is not in a good position at present. 
• In branches like CSE/IT, BIT Sindri is far behind the standards of IITs, NITs, or any other good institute in India. 
• Core branches like Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Metallurgy, etc have the same PSU culture as good NITs and IITs, so they are still in a better position. 
• There are several BIT Sindri alumni currently settled with a government job.

To crack competitive exams like GATE, CAT, GRE, etc, students in BIT Sindri have to work hard and experience tough college life.

There are students who consider their life at BIT Sindri to be as glorious as expected, with several memories and campus stories. The government is taking a lot of initiatives to regain the glory of BIT Sindri, which is a positive aspect at present.

There is no such thing as placement strategy but talking of placements, very few students of the civil branch are interested in it. 

• Most of the students go for IES or State government jobs. 
• The placement of core companies in campus placement do not prefer girls because of the security issues and therefore girls mostly prefer IT companies during placements. 
• In campus placement companies visit depends upon the concerned branches TPO. Students have to take place in soft companies. Many of them are placed in companies like IBM & TCS.

India is a developing country and there is a huge requirement for Civil Engineers and will be in the coming future for Infrastructure development. So, it would be good, just stay focused on the core subject.

According to recent data, BIT Sindri’s production, metallurgy, and chemical engineering departments have good scope for placement in core companies.

• The department has official communications with companies for training and internship purposes. They are an essential aspect of pre-placement preparation.
• Most professors are quite good, and help a lot in curriculum and other placement related issues.

For Metallurgy undergraduates, the opportunities are listed below.

• In off-campus recruitment drives, students have large scope towards other prosperous companies and huge package offers.
• There are chances for students in Metallurgy to get into PSUs like SAIL because very few engineering colleges have the Metallurgy department.

For the Production undergraduates, the opportunities are as follows.

• A good core job in this branch is the best option one can opt for in Production. There are limited seats for production and industrial engineers which makes it difficult to get selected.

For the Chemical undergraduates, the opportunities are listed below.

• Few private chemical companies visit the campus too, but they are quite less in number.

To summarize, the above three branches provide a decent amount of opportunities in both private and government sectors. It is always the choice of the student to excel in his/her skills, their preparations and hardships they go through the four years of engineering, making a difference in career and further opportunities.

Considering the recent placement statistics, Metallurgical Engineering is the best stream to opt for in BIT Sindri. 

Dividing the total number of students placed by the total number of students in the final year of a batch, the placement ratio for Metallurgical Engineering is maximum. This makes it the most successful branch in terms of placement in BIT Sindri.

• Students should not always run for placements. There are instances in which students take any stream in which they have no interest and eventually fail to get placed.
