Since the course MBBS was my dream and getting into this prestigious college was very good for me and I can get a chance to serve my society in future, this thing influenced me the most to choose the course. The suggestion for the teaching method is that instead of lectures if SGD (small group discussions) were possible they remain more effective than lectures. If lectures are give the teacher should use a board instead of ppt, this increases the retention of lecture in the class.

Since doctor is being considered a noble profession and my parents wanted me to become a doctor that is why i chose this. Curriculum prepares us well to be a good doctor with having more practicals than theory but only if the college follows NMC guidelines fairly. I think this ppt should be only used for video purposes whenever demonstrating anything and fir theory there should be chalk and talk method. Usually there are 2 terminal exams and send up and lastly a proff exam . Difficulty level remains high not because of competition but syllabus

Mbbs is a very noble degree and I aspired to become a doctor from a very young age. The faculty of the government medical college in Srinagar is highly qualified and excellent at teaching. The teacher-student ratio in every batch is almost 1:15. All the faculty members at least have a masters in their respective subjects and have experience of more than 15 years. The teaching method is presented based on and ensures maximum student participation. In an academic year, 2 terminal examinations are held within the first 8 months and then a send-up exam is taken in the 10th month of the year followed by a prof exam at the end.
Exams are held on time, and for the same thing we are given tentative dates at the time of admission. But the problem is university exams(final exams), they are never held on time as the university with which the college is affiliated has cumbersome works to do, as it is the only university in the state. Difficultly level is average, MBBS as a course itself is difficult, but percentage of marks givenare less as compared to other universities.
Being a government college, fees used to be very modest. Don't remember exactly but the entire course fees used to be somewhere around ten thousand rupees. The mode of payment used to be cash against a receipt during those days. There is absolute transparency in the fee charged. No hidden charges were there.
Mbbs is a course of 4.5 yrs with 1 yr internship. clinical postings started from 2nd yr.clinical exposure is good. Every department is good, physiology was best epecially physiology practicals. To be happy here you must study daily.
Total fee for mbbs course comes about 50k rupees which is feasible, and not expensive in ist It was 21k in 2nd year It would be 7.5k in prefinal and It would be around 20k which is the feasible fee structure
Feasible. Because since it is a government college, the fee is very less and payable and affordable. So there's no big deal in paying the fee. However scholarships are not provided to the students for financial help
Hardly 6000/- per annum. it's a government college. It's very feasible.
Being a government college, our fees was affordable by almost all. We just had to pay Rs.10000 at the time of admission. Then before each final exam ,we would pay exam fees ,costing around Rs 4000 for each exam. That amounted to a total of about Rs 26000 in 4.5 years. Some poor students were provided 100% scholarship and they did not have to pay anything.
