I was already working in Talent Acquisition but didn't have an HR degree. I applied to Sheridan due to various factors. I was guided by a friend. Sheridan is close to all Indian amenities & public transportation is fast in the area. After all the experience I will highly recommend trying first University instead of college. Toronto, waterloo, Calgary, Lethbridge or other universities instead of college as a first choice. Choose your course wisely as per 2024 Canada's in-demand skills are Data Analyst/ Nursing/Tool & Die Maker, Power Engineering/ Electric Technician /Engineering, CNC Machinist, Plumbing, and Mechanical Grinder. These are the best courses In demand PR Pathway programs with less competition. 2 years of power Engineering course can land you a 40 -50$ Job at least. The market for IT was good post-COVID-19 but shrank a lot & the trend continues. If you have experience as a net Developer/Data Analyst/Infrastructure support you will still get a chance in the labour market.
SOP had to be submitted for visa for canadian colleges, including detailed purpose I chose this course forEmployment rate and quality of study provided by the college My overall experience consists of feeling at home in the college, due to supportive staff and faculty as well. College has a great lively ambience and never feels depressed when you walk in or roam around the college with your friends, it also has several clubs from children to connect with
There a lot of Indians here and you feel just like home over here. Although there are some people from different countries as well. But they are just as friendly if not more.
Sheridan College is a well-regarded educational institution known for its diverse programs in arts, design, technology, and business. With a focus on hands-on learning, it provides students with practical skills and experiences, fostering creativity and innovation. It has good infrastructure but bad cafeteria.
I would say the college facilities and the tutors were great but the curriculum needs to accommodate new industrial standards. The placements in my course was poor and were repeating same things we studied in our 12th grade.
My academics was pretty good. I will recommend that course to anyone. The college I didn't like - very bad at decisions, do not hear students. They use students as cash cow. Terrible administration.
The overall experience with Sheridan college is really great. I have explore many opportunities and many skills in my self. Learned a lot not just in Study but like professional skills and everything that can create my better future.
It has one of the most valuable environment to study and also focus more on education rather than considering fees. Also it has high probability of getting good campus placements. SOP, LOR should clearly indicate why you choose this college and course and also mention your future plans of coming back to India
I went to the Sheridan Hazel Mccallion campus in Mississauga. I was enrolled in the business administration-Human Resources program which was a two-year diploma program. During my time at Sheridan, I was guided by the career center for any career-related interests and resumes. There’s an international center that assured students of any concerns that international students may have. There are several groups where you can volunteer to gain some experience in event management, social work, and many other communities. It is a small campus but very accessible. I personally loved studying at the campus. There were study rooms and individual spaces to study. I spent most of my time at school during my time at Sheridan. When you are at Sheridan, all you have to do is to ask or reach out to those available resources and they will provide you guidance and make your life much easier. It was located in the city where I wanted to be and the college had good reviews and was known for business programs. I did my research online and also reached out to the international center before I could get admitted.
I chose this college mainly because of the coop facilities and the campus and its diversity.
