What students say about Western Sydney University

  • However, you are required to do placements and gain work experience to better understand your field.
  • However, it will give them a broader understanding of what the real world will be like.
  • There is a placement unit in many courses, so its best to check before applying for a course.
  • It is beautiful. I am used to it now, but when I graduate, I will miss it so much.
  • On the bright side, the facilities they provide are amazing - pools and sports courts.
  • The faculty is very good; they have helped me with my studies and answered my questions, etc.
  • This college is the best college that provides nursing in Australia. My uncle told me that this university provides good service for the students.

  • Dislikes:
  • Lack of activities and sports. At an individual level, I did not experience anything apart from academics.,
  • Online classes and less face to face interaction during Covid.

I chose this university because of various factors: - Offered the course I wanted to study - very high ranking - Excelled Reviews of Student Welfare - Exceptional Teaching My overall experience was amazing. The course, professors and the classes were exceptional. I did not get to experience University life because of Covid but other than that, the student welfare really stepped up during Covid to provide Financial Aid to all the students.

  • Dislikes:
  • Majority of classes are conducted online, giving a feeling of having enrolled to an online course. Class environment can become way too casual as food and mobiles are allowed in the class. The student accommodation provided by university is way too expensive than what's usual available in the market.

I have been in the university for a year, in this span of a year, university had a significant influence on me. New friend circle introduces new habits ( good ones though) and introduces you to different culture. It had been a fun experience so far, learning other cultures, learning the Aussie way of designing network (circuits) (their standards) .

  • Dislikes:
  • The policies of the university during COVID times, where it became difficult for students to learn dynamically and work in cohesion with their course mates to create better outcomes. Encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship should be a policy.

A unique experience for an international student from a developing nation where you interact and engage with people from different cultures and nationalities to identify your own self.

  • Dislikes:
  • I like everything about it. One thing I would say though would be that call wait times are sometimes too long. Due to this many students don’t end up staying on the call and waiting the time rather end it.

It has been great. This is my final year at university and I am going to miss this life a lot.

This college provided an international perspective on the curriculum and offers the courses I am interested in. It also offers a lot of guidance and support for international students. Whilst it is still close to Sydney, parramatta offers a little more calm neighbourhood which makes it easier to focus on education.

I decided to attend this University because it was close to home. It has an excellent nursing program that will help to line me up for future jobs through placement. It is also one of the only Universities or Colleges that decided to accept me.

Western Sydney University is a very distinct name among other colleges and universities. The brand name is one of the major reasons I applied to this university amongst other factors. Also, a few references from my friend's.

This university offers a 5-year program instead of 6 years like most of the other medical universities do. I am looking to finishing my degree as soon as possible. I also like Australia that is why I chose this university.

A good place to study, very modern buildings and high tech. The new modern way of teaching without lectures, suiting me good and with many units to choose from and offered to a good price. I choose between this one and a few similar and got into this one.
