What students say about RMIT University

Likes

  • I think it is a very practical foundation and a higher level than most similar courses, as it prepares me for the industry and allows me to specialize in specific areas that I may want to pursue as a career.
  • Like interviews and everything, its so good; you work for an entire year and do a couple of assignments.
  • Seniors have also indicated that the job market is good for my field of study.
  • The RMIT Accommodation Scholarship is provided for commencing students who are moving to Melbourne to study at RMIT. It is worth up to $5,200.
  • The university is easily accessible by public transportation and includes amenities such as libraries, study spaces, Wi-Fi, daycare, and a thriving gymnasium.
  • I found Don Bosco to be the best option for off-campus accommodation. It offers facilities such as a club house, indoor games, and a pool for enjoyment. Moreover, it is relatively adorable compared to others.
  • However, most courses allow for a CSP, which means the government pays for the course during your study period through a system known as HECS-HELP.
  • A very experienced and knowledgeable person from whom students can learn a lot about life and work.
  • RMIT is one of the best colleges in Australia and also has a high ranking worldwide.

Dislike

  • This is obviously attributed to its skeptical nature and emphasis on scientific discipline and similar factors.
  • We dont have on-campus housing, and the other common areas are too costly for me.
  • The fees are small because it is an Australian government-funded course covered by the HECS loan system in place for students

  • campus is what I don't like since its a city campus it is scattered hence you can't gather with friends from different discipline as yours buildings are different hence you only get to connect with other people during social gathering or campus events

I did submit the SoP but for the visa process , regarding the key points , I mentioned about my course outcomes as well as my intention of coming back to India and mentioned opportunities that I would be eligible for in India once I complete this course , additionally I mentioned about why I chose Australia specifically and why this course , also I did talk about financial stability , these all points should be enough for a great sop. Rmit university is quite a tech focused university with a great brand name and in the heart of city , hence I chose this university as all the factors aligned for me and apart from that I had talked to some seniors and they had advised me to go for it when I was a bit confused between few universities . if I were to sum up my experience it has been really good , course is good rest location is really happening n good and overall everything you need Is available at campus so it works out really good .

  • I have not been at the university for quite a long time. It has only been a semester since I started studying at this university. It would be very difficult for me to pinpoint what I dislike about the university but of the top of my head, providing avenues of internship opportunities even to first year students would seem a little progressive.

Studying at RMIT has been pretty good. The infrastructure, faculty and the networking opportunities that you get is really good. It all depends on where you want to study and work, but in my personal opinion, RMIT is one of the good universities in Victoria, if not in Australia.

  • If you live far from the city and you can’t get your timetable perfectly managed it would be a difficult to commute. The timetable works on firstcome first serve basis so if you miss the opportunity you’ve to travel a lot. And that’s gonna waste a lot of your time. They don’t entertain more than 15 students per class so you need to be fast to get yourself enrolled into classes for 2 days per week which makes the commute worth.

I loved it, you meet amazing people coming for different culture, different backgrounds, different work experience and you learn a lot. It just depends on you and how much you want to invest.

  • I completed my graduation during the time of Covid19, which was entirely different phase and being an international student, I was expecting decent amount of assistance during that phase from the university. In terms of fees reduction, providing aid to work from setup, mental assistance but none of these things were considered.,
  • The most important point is that they need to provide guidance to the students after graduation to get placement. It's really hard to get job especially for the students who are freshers.

University experience was pretty good but after the graduation it's really hard to find a job. No guidance or assistance is provided.

The tutors are knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable. They not only lecture you on your course, but also give you time to do your own self-study. Practical study is prevalent in many RMIT courses, preparing students for their chosen careers. Extremely multicultural. It's difficult to find work there (as it is everywhere), but as I previously stated, practical placements are common at RMIT. Perfectly located in the heart of the CBD, accessible to both city dwellers and suburbanites. There are many amenities on campus, such as free breakfasts, campus festivals, and a multi-level library with stunning city views. If you live in Melbourne and want to study, I highly recommend RMIT. It will not let you down.

The university is best for IT course. It comes in average universities. No too busy or too lazy education. You can manage part-time jobs too while studying. Staff is also good and supportive. All of your doubts will get cleared.

I want to complete my MBA abroad this University is suggested by my relatives and I heard good reviews for the college. You can apply to the University through its online portal or through an agent. The application fee is 100 AUD The certified copies of academic transcripts, copies of graduation certificates in both the original language and English, Statement of purpose, Evidence of English language proficiency such as TOEFL/ IELTS or equivalent, and any documentation relating to selection tasks (pre-selection kits, folios, etc.), Letter of recommendation, copy of passport, CV, work reference referee report, Australian Student Visa. You need to properly prepare for the RMIT interview, so you can successfully showcase your skills, handle tricky questions and show that you’re a good fit for the College.
