  • I only dislike one thing that is the pressure of study in the first trimester. The assignment deadlines for the first trimester students is very less and the time given to explain these things up is also very less. Students like me from India or any country where assignments are not that much impactful, Will not focus more on them but here they matter alot.

I live in an apartment as I don't believe in sharing and I am not comfortable with anyone so I live by myself.

Yes I gave my coe that had my basic details like my interests and all the things. Because Deakin is in the top 1% universities of the world. It includes students from all the Nations not only from India and it provides a lot of opportunities in future as it will give me a global citizenship. My university is fun I love studying there enjoy the activities and I'm very very lucky to be in that university. I am damn sure that my future is secure and I'm going to achieve my goal in future. I will recommend this university to my friend as well as it is a very great university to study in.

  • The location for me its like little bit far from the melbourne CBD but nothing to worry as we can get a train or tramp as well.Even they have a express bus shuttle service from box hill station to deakin university.

Hostel:

There’s a in-house accommodation provided by the university but it gets filled quickly. You must apply beforehand to get that. I also tried to apply for that but it was like fully booked. You can also check for accommodation sites such as deakinhouse.me where you will find the listing of nearby property for rent.

I had to submit my short 300 words SoP and one long detailed SoP, and a detailed CV as well. The main reason was the ranking of this university is quite good as compared to other university and the fee structure is also affordable compared to group of eight. Also the main highlight was the course i took was accredited from Australian computer society(ACS). Overall its good but the course is challenging because i do not have background of IT and the university experience is top notch like the facilities are quite good. The lecture theatre, library, medical centre, Gym are quite good. There are many cafes and vending machine in the premises where you can get variety of food ranging from continental to indian.

I stayed at my relative's place for 1 year and did not opt for college accommodation.

It was a superb experience to study in a foreign university with such a work culture focused curriculum.

I'm attending online classes right now, so I can't provide details about accommodation. Most of the students opt for off-campus accommodation since it's a bit cheap. Most of the students first book a room for one-two weeks and then look for a shared apartment.

Deakin Institute is ranked among the top 1% of all the universities across the globe. The course structure of Masters of biotechnology is practically based and in the second year university allows to work in industries as an intern or choose a thesis pathway which helps students to decide their path. The admission process in this institute is very simple you just need to qualify their admission criteria like min. 12th percentage around 60% and graduation should also be above 60%. I didn't join any coaching institute for exam preparation. I approach Collegedunia for university selection and guidance for the admission process and they helped me a lot through the whole process.

One tip that I have for you guys is to plan for your study abroad as soon as possible, planning ahead is important because there are a lot of details you will need to take into account before you leave. So yeah, that's about it all the very best guys.

I think they really value student satisfaction over anything they really tried to understand or really tried to help you in terms of fresher in terms of if you need some changing you know a lot of my friends if they didn't like courses it was quite easy to drop and find a new one instead of a long procedure where you know might scare students that I am not liking the class but then there is such a long procedure and I don't wanna drop the class now. So I think in terms of that they really try to be as helpful and as flexible as they can.

Like in Singapore, although, you know, it is generally there's like this apartment culture, you've got to hit the HDB, which are the government housing, the cheapest, you can find accommodation. Right, then you've got private condos. And and although, you know, Singapore also is like very pricey, then we've come out as, like, pretty high on the rankings, in terms of, like, most expensive place to live in, right, like, but I would say, like, compared to, like, you know, somewhere like, Hong Kong, it's like, we, I would say that it's maybe most international students would find this place more like palatable, because they're slightly more space. And you're not living in those coffin homes in Hong Kong, where so there's really no space and even though like it's crowded here, right, because it's so small and congested, but I would say that there's obviously this one order

I was searching since class 11th. I searched about Australia and made a list of 10 different universities. Then, I called my counselor and she told me to go for Deakin.

My first residence was Deakin's own residences. There my rent was around $750 and I had my own private room with a laundry where all the bills were included expect the laundry. For my second accommodation, I rented a whole house with one of my friends and there I was paying all the bills and everything. But, there were 4 rooms in the house. Right now, I am living in one house and I'm renting this one where all bills are included. I just have to spend money on groceries.

I chose Deakin University because it has some of the best faculty for the bachelor of psychological science course. Deakin University has structured the course in such a way it helps in the overall development of the student. and when i was gathering information regarding the Deakin University i contacted many alumni of Deakin University and they all told me that Deakin University is the best university that offers the course that i wanted to pursue and it will help me in getting a job and in research.
