CUCET 2027 registration is open for Chandigarh University's Mohali campus. Phase I runs from October 2026 to May 2027. Applicants choose an available online test date after registering. CU requires CUCET for BE, MBA, BPharm, MCA, integrated law and other named courses unless an exemption applies.

CUCET also decides scholarships. A score of 90.01 to 100 marks in either 2027 phase falls in the standard 100% scholarship band, but specialised courses can have different slabs. Students must meet the subject and marks rules for their chosen programme at the Mohali campus.

Phase I runs from October 2026 to May 2027. CU has not set one closing day or counselling timetable for all courses.

Courses and Eligibility at the Punjab Campus

CUCET is compulsory for the course groups below unless the applicant qualifies for an exemption. For other courses, it can be taken for scholarship.

Some design, health-science and psychology programmes also require CUCET. BE Automobile Engineering requires 50% in Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics and an accepted third subject. BCA requires 50% in Class 12. Other branches may have different subject requirements.

CUCET 2027 Test, Exemptions and Scholarship

CUCET has 100 multiple-choice questions and lasts 120 minutes. CU says there is no negative marking. Students take it online from home using a laptop or computer with a camera. The test details are sent to the registered email ID. CU offers a mock test after registration.

Applicants with more than 90% in the qualifying examination may qualify for a CUCET exemption. Exactly 90% does not meet this condition. BE applicants may also qualify through the JEE Main rank exemption. A CUCET scholarship still requires a CUCET score.

CU allows two attempts in each phase and uses the best score for scholarship. An additional attempt or another phase is ₹500. Phase I and Phase II have different award rates, with separate rates for some specialised programmes.

How to Apply for Chandigarh University Admission 2027

CU takes online CUCET registrations. It also allows students to buy a paper form at an admission office or authorised centre and then register online using its unique number. The first form costs ₹1,000; a paper-form buyer does not pay that amount again online.

  1. Choose the course and confirm the Punjab campus eligibility and CUCET requirement.
  2. Register at cucet.cuchd.in with a working mobile number and email ID.
  3. Pay ₹1,000 online, or enter the unique number from a paid paper form.
  4. Enter the current qualification, school or college, and subjects. Choose an available test date.
  5. Take CUCET online at the allotted time. Check the result in the account and registered email.
  6. Complete any counselling, document check and admission-fee step shown for the chosen programme.

Applicants complete their candidate profile and select a test date. A later course change may need approval from CU and can affect the scholarship.

CU sends the result to the application account and registered email. Counselling, document checks and payment deadlines then follow the chosen programme.

Students should keep Class 10 and 12 marksheets, a degree marksheet for PG courses, identity proof, entrance result, and any category or scholarship proof that applies. CU may request different documents for individual courses. The admission offer and fee instructions determine what a selected applicant must submit and pay.
