JNTUH Results 2026: How to Apply for Challenge Valuation?

After JNTUH Recounting (RC) / Revaluation (RV) results are declared, if students are yet not satisfied with their results or their results are not updated, then they can apply for Challenge Valuation (CV). CV applications need to be submitted within 15 days of RC/RV result declaration. Challenge Valuation is considered the final and highest level of revaluation in JNTUH, where the answer script is reviewed again under a more transparent evaluation process.

Detailed procedure for Challenge Valuation has been provided below:

  • Students have to submit an application for Challenge Valuation via the Principal of the College.
  • Students have to submit a copy of the RC/RV result along with a Demand Draft (DD) of the requisite fee (INR 10,000).
  • DD should be drawn in favour of The Registrar, JNTUH.
  • Principal of the respective College affiliated with JNTUH needs to verify the details prior to forwarding them to the University.

Subsequently, dates for the result announcement will be intimated, for students to visit the university.

Note:

  • Challenge Valuation is not applicable for Lab paper results.
  • The answer script will be evaluated by two examiners—one appointed by JNTUH and the other nominated by the student's college.

JNTUH Results 2026: What Happens in Challenge Valuation?

Challenge Valuation is the final and highest level of revaluation in JNTUH. It is done only after the student has applied for normal Revaluation (RC/RV).

  • University officials (two examiners) re-evaluate the answer sheet in the presence of the student/parent.
  • 15% Rule: If the marks change by 15% or more of the maximum external marks, then the new marks will be awarded.
    • Example: For a 75-mark paper, the change must be at least 11 marks (15% of 75 = 11.25 rounded to 11).
  • If the change is less than 15%, or if the marks decrease, the original marks (before Challenge Valuation) will be retained.
  • Fee: INR 10,000 per subject.
  • Refund: If the marks increase by 15% or more, INR 9,000 will be refunded to the student. The student will forfeit the remaining INR 1,000.
  • If there is no qualifying change, the student loses the entire INR 10,000.

Important Notes:

Challenge Valuation can only be applied after RC/RV results.

Marks can increase, decrease, or remain the same.

The decision after Challenge Valuation is final; no further challenge is allowed.
