- The Bachelor program allows students to integrate environmental and human health constraints while adhering to economic growth standards, sustainable development, and strong ethics.
- A strong emphasis is placed on using community-oriented service learning projects to provide experience integrating engineering with political and societal constraints, both locally and abroad. Co-op allowances are also available for students to pursue alternating semesters of full-time, off-campus professional work experience in designated industries, agencies, and laboratories.
- Graduates are prepared for a wide range of careers devoted to developing solutions to environmental problems. Many pursue continued education through professional licensure, certification, or a graduate degree.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
At UGA, the only minimum score requirements in place are the ones required by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia for admission to its research universities: that is, an SAT-CR of 430 and SAT-M of 400, or subscores of 17 on both the English and Math sections of the ACT.
Persons seeking admission to the University of Georgia Graduate School must hold a baccalaureate degree from an institution accredited by the appropriate regional accrediting association or its international equivalent prior to the expected semester of matriculation with the exception of University of Georgia undergraduate students enrolled in linked bachelors/masters programs. Applicants should be ranked in the upper half of their undergraduate class. Applicants are responsible for submitting application materials required for admission. These items include, but are not limited to, the following:
