  • The Information Technology Management curriculum is really good for people who want to make a segue into the tech sector, whether they desire positions as a Project Manager or Data Analyst.
  • It was completely out of my comfort zone, but it helped me build myself and learn things that will help me immensely in the future.
  • The electricity bill can vary from vendor to vendor and the kind of plan you opt for.
  • We usually become busy with finding an internship by the end of the first year and a full-time job by the second year.
  • I live in a shared apartment with 3 other people, and it has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The monthly rent is $2000.
  • The faculty has very good knowledge and experience in the technological world and has experience in the job field, and they share their experience with us.
  • A lot of Indians, especially for grad courses, find a good curriculum, good faculties, a great campus, and a well-connected location in Dallas, which makes it a good place to stay in.

  • It is a commuter college. Not many students live on campus. You have to go out of your way to network, but when you do, you will get a ton of opportunities.,
  • The Texas weather - depends on whether you like heat or not! The summers are very hot, but the spring, fall and winter are pleasant.

I chose this college because it had a good Biotechnology program, good pricing, and this degree is competitive in the job market. Overall, It was a great, enlightening experience where I learned to be independent, make friends, connect with professors and companies, and also where I worked hard and accomplished a lot. Now I have great job offers with good pay and a firm start to my professional life.

I chose this university as it had good ranking for masters in business analytics; most people from the batch got job on time. Overall experience has been pretty positive although the fees is higher if you don’t get a scholarship. So try to score well in GRE and get a scholarship to make it worth.

I submitted 1 SOP, resume 3 LORs for my application. I wrote about my interest in the MSBA program and I linked it to how my professional experience of 1.5 years is relevant to this degree. I also mentioned relevant projects and extracurricular experience. LORs were given by my professors. My resume consisted information about my experience, educations, skills and projects. I was interested in UTD because of the ability to choose courses from various schools. Also, the location of the college is great and gives a homely feeling. I heard good reviews of this particular program and decided to go with it. I chose this program because I had experience with data in my workplace. I liked my work and wanted to explore it. It is a good university with great professors and academic programs. The infrastructure and extracurricular activities are good too. But I would say that it is very expensive without scholarship.

No, there was no interview and or any test. Because, the tuition fee is quite less than other university. Computer Science department has some amazing professors with amazing papers they have worked on and have been working on a lot of recent technologies.

It is a good university to study at. The campus life is good, the academic aspect is good. The only downside is that it is a bit expensive if there's no scholarship. Weigh the options well.

Finished one semester here at UTD. Wonderful experience so far. Learned a lot of new skills professionally and academically. Made a lot of new friends. Getting accustomed to the new style of learning in the US. Continuous assessments and graded homeworks are new and need to familiarise with. Been part of some student clubs and organisations. Looking forward to the next semester.

My experience at UT Dallas so far in my first semester has been great with their experienced faculty as well as on campus.

Its good for campus life but not from job factor. For a single part-time on-campus job itself vacancy to application ratio is about 1-400. So, anyone can imagine.

  • Nothing in particular.

The community is really quite with majority of Indian population. The living in Dallas is quite expensive. The rent can start from $400 per person to $700 per person in an sharing space. Private living can be more expensive. Other charges include utilities like electric and water. Since it's only been 2 months the water bill is not yet generated. However the electricity bill can vary from vendor to vendor and kind of plan you opt for. I have the simply low plan where I get 115 dollars credit if the usage is above 1000kwh. Otherwise it's 20 cents per kwh. I got $167 in the first month and $123 recently for 1117 kwh.

  • The major thing that I dislike about UTD is that the some of the courses taught by Indian faculties still follow the traditional indian teaching ways and havent evolved to the change that we wish to go there for. I personally faced this in 2 of my courses.

My overall experience was very good. I had an on-campus job at the parking and transportation department. The education and extra curricular activities were too good.
