  • Dislikes:
  • "If I had to mention one thing, it's the weather. Not to blame the university for this, but it gets extremely cold in winters and the weather persists like that for around 5 months. Another thing that I would improve about MSU is campus security. I encountered a shooting event in the very second month. That event got me terrified for a week!"

Overview:

I'm not sure if I'm the best person to answer this question because I haven't really gotten complete college experience from MSU. That's because I'm enrolled with the 12 month program which is very fast-paced and barely leaves us time to enjoy and take part in other stuff on campus. But if I am to comment on my program and the experience that I am right now having it is very hectic and mentally challenging. The weather in Michigan also makes it physically challenging in the first four months of the program. Personally I'm loving this because I wanted to challenge myself when I came out of India and I'm getting what I wanted.

Scholarship:

There are no scholarships associated with this program no matter how good the profile is. However, we will receive a $1000 fellowship in the Fall semester (last semester as it is a 12-month program that starts in Spring).

Overview:

I knew that I wanted to go to a college in-state and an MSU was the leading college in business that really caught my eye. It was the perfect distance away from my house which was about an hour and that was great because I could easily get home if I needed to but I wasn't so close that my parents could come up any day or that I felt that I'd be going home too often. On top of that when I visited the campus it was amazing I really loved how everything was so tied in together and so large at the same time. I really felt at home and I really solidified that when I got there. I can go running or for a walk anywhere on campus and it feels like I?m just outside enjoying nature there?s a bunch of trees alongside a bunch of beautiful buildings.

The campus is the prettiest in the state. As well as the program I wanted was very competitive and has been accredited for over ten years. It was close enough to home but also far enough from home that I can live away from it.

Overview:

In-state tuition made it cheaper than my other options. The reputable name was also a factor and close to home. Other options were much more expensive and out of state which factored into much higher costs and loans. Therefore, I chose this university.
