Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University (BBMKU) is a government university located in Dhanbad. Established in 2017, the UGC has awarded the university a formal recognition for its academic achievement and placed it 545th among all universities in India. BBMKU has an enrollment of over 100000 students in its affiliated and constituent colleges.

BBMKU offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctoral courses across various streams through the faculties of Humanities, Science, Social Sciences, Commerce, Management, Engineering, Law, Education, and others. BBMKU admissions are based on merit or scores obtained in the entrance examination. BBMKU has established collaborations with universities and industries both in India and abroad. The university has also signed an MOU with the Cyber Vidyapeeth Foundation to start diploma and PG Diploma courses in Cyber Defence.

The university is also working on plans to introduce courses in Jyotish, Karmakand, and Vastu Shastra besides Law, and MBA soon. Additionally, BBMKU will provide coaching for civil services and NET exams through its career development center of the university.

The campus of BBMKU is spread over 500 acres of land that houses several schools and centers. BBMKU Admission Process

BBMKU admission process for all courses usually starts in March or April every year. The university offers admission to most of the UG and PG programs based on merit (marks secured in the qualifying examination). BBMKU also conducts admission to some of the specializations of BA (Hons), B.Sc (Hons), B.Com, and BBA courses based on scores obtained in the Common University entrance test (CUET UG). BTech admissions at BBMKU are done through JEE Main examination followed by counselling conducted by the university. BBMKU admission process is completely online. BBMKU Scholarships

BBMKU provides various scholarships to meritorious and financially weak students. Some of the BBMKU scholarships are as follows:

Pragati Scholarship: This is a national-level scholarship provided by AICTE. This scholarship is only for female candidates. Scholarships are available for SC, ST, and BC students studying.
Post Matric Scholarship for Students With Disabilities Fellowship: This scholarship is for students with benchmark disability and having a valid certificate of disability. Parents/guardians' income from all sources must not exceed INR 2.5 LPA per annum. Scholarship Amounts up to INR 4000 to eligible students with different disabilities.
The Government of Jharkhand provides an online scholarship portal named as E – Kalyan run by SC,ST,BC welfare departments. Scholarships are available for SC,ST,BC students studying at the post-matriculation level.

BBMKU Campus Life & Facilities

BBMKU is a non-residential institution and the campus is located in Dhanbad, the coal capital of India. The campus of BBMKU is spread over 500 acres of land that houses various departments and schools. The university organizes several activities like alumni meet, musical nights, magazine quizzes, and Independence Day celebrations where all the students and all the associates of the university gather at the main campus to show unity and enjoy these activities. BBMKU facilities are as follows:

Library: BBMKU provides a rich collection of books of varied genres and subjects.
Laboratory: Well-equipped laboratory for U.G./P.G. (Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Physics, Geography, Home Science, Psychology, Computer, and Biotech).
PlayGround: PlayGround at BBMKU is equipped with basketball courts, a Volleyball courts, a football stadium, and other indoor sports facilities for students.
Hostel Accommodation: Hostel facility is available for both girls and boys students. It is on a first come first serve basis and for valid reasons. The fees for the BBMKU hostel are charged at the start of every year.

Likes

The things i liked the most that there is no compulsory attendance is needed.
The things i liked the most is that if u need or want any important notes u need not be worry u can ask the teachers and they were very helpful to us whenever i need to discuss i can asked them without any hesitation.
Teachers were very good to us and help us without being judged.

Dislikes

The things I don't like is that the cleanliness in the college.
The things I don't like is that the guard is very rude to the students.
In my campus only girl are present that's why I there should be boys and girls too.

Student view on course curriculum

I choose this course cause I feel that I'm very good at accounting as i studied in my 11th & 12th accounting as my core subject so its inspired me to choose my further studies as commerce also I'm very passionate about business marketing too. This course help me to understand to the core of business, economics and accounting as well. I think it doesn't need any improvement from my side because you will be spoon fulled . Quarterly exams were held so it's enough time available to prepare ourselves.

Yearly fees structure of the college

The year wise the fees i paid is 20000/- and its worth paying. Tuition fees is 500/- , caution fees is 1000/-, registration fees is 3000/-, admission fees is 2000/-, development fees is 600/-, lab fees is 1000/- and the other compulsory charges is 11900/- and so. The batchmates fees are almost same than mine. As such there is no scholarship available in my campus

College fest and various activities

In my college there is a regional festival held , though they don't spend much in festival but yes it can be enjoyable for the students. There were vast of books available in the college library u may take home and the for given period of time. We have been provided all necessary things that we needed. Sports and extracurricular activities available in our college the students that are selected were sent outside to complete with other.

Student views on the faculty and exams

The faculty to student ratio is quite decent and impressive. The relationship between the faculty and student is much prettier than I thought before i got to campus cause all the members in this campus are very pleased to each other and the faculties are easily approachable if you find it difficult you may ask anyone in the campus they were always ready to help. As I mentioned earlier i have done my bachelor's degree in this college so i can tell about commerce department that I had learnt a lot, they were very kind to their students and the students feel free to ask queries without any hesitation because every member in this faculty are very nice person. Although I can't take name of the faculties name that i don't like cause I haven't visited each and every faculty but i have friends who were in different facilities so I heard from them that other facilities are also same gem like person who are always ready to help and kind to a person who is needed. As such I don't have any dislike in any other facilities. In our college yearly three exams were held and the exams were moderate level not so high not so low and I think everyone had passed the exams maybe fewer students may failed due to lack of knowledge.

Eligibility Criteria of the college

I had applied for Dayalbagh University and I have given the entrance test that goes pretty well and then i had got my result , to the next day i had left for my interview process in the college campus itself, then i had my interview with the interviewer and too went well but in the first merit list I couldn't found my name but there were a chance to select because they give 3 merit list so there is a chances that i might got selected so i waited there itself in my relatives house but it takes 1 month to release the second merit list and i went there with my mother and at my home my brother and father were all alone and they have to manage all the stuffs, then and there my father was ill and no one else were there to help them so we decided, me and my mother to get back to home . And all my dreams went back. It's already August and there were no seats available in the colleges so i got know about this college through my friends and went there to ask them about admission and thereafter I got my college. The eligibility is you must be 12th pass and cutoffs for getting admission in B.Com is above 45%. My experience is good .

Night Life

Although our college doesn't provide gym , cafeteria but library we have been provided all the stuffs in library are good and motivating too. No hostel is provided by this college. Our favourite place to hangout is near by college a restaurant and park here we friends love to spend our time.

These are my perception and I am not saying that it's fact

Likes

The availability of canteen and cyber cafe is also the plus point
The classroom 's have good and proper ventilation.
The campus is quite large and there is no problem of parking

Dislikes

Anyone can enter the campus for dropping there child it should be restricted
The washroom is not in proper conditon . It's unhygienic
The campus is large but there should be some flowers plants and more things to make it look enchanting but there is no such things

Admission:

There is no reason for choosing this particular university it's just about the location . I don't have to travel much for attending my classes that is the main reason for choosing it . The admission process is so simple

I applied for this college because this college is closest to my house,and there teachers are experienced.This college examination procedure is also so easy, no need to extend whole day. Well disciplined college.

The College campus was very neat and clean and
College incouraged girls to come to the college as it was 1:1 ratio of boys and girls

Dislikes

Travelling was a factor which I didn't liked because you have to be solely dependent on the auto rickshaw, although bus was also available but there was no time table of the bus

Admission:

I had not applied in any other college. I choose this college over any other college because my financial situation was not good at that time any this college was the only college where attendance was not compulsory. So I decided to work as well as study. The admission process is very easy in the college any individual need the 12 result, TC, character certificate, etc from the school and can easily take admission.

Good hygiene as it is newly built and sanitized
Infrastructure is modern and has elevator as well.

Dislikes

Outside campus is filled with bushes and overgrown grass
Office staff are sometimes less polite and moderately humble.

Admission:

I applied to sindri college also got confirmed admission but chose this college due to transportation issue. The admission process of my college is rather simple as compared to other universities as they simply accept 12th exam scores.

BBMKU does not offer integrated B.Ed programs at the university campus. However, B.Ed programs are offered through its affiliated colleges. The admission notice for the 2023-24 academic session has not been released yet. You can apply for admission in integrated B.Ed program after passing Class XII examination from a recognized board.

BBMKU has not released the B.Ed admission notice for the current academic year on its official website yet. The university will release the admission notice on its official website. You can apply for admission in this program if you have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
