AIIMS Nagpur a Holistic review of Institute of academic programs facilities and students

Likes

AIIMS Nagpur modern campus provides and ideal learning environment the state of art stimulation labs lecture theatres and Research facilities enable hands on learning the digital inflastructure is also robust with high speed internet connectivity.
The faculty are expert in their fields with the passion for teaching and mentoring they provide personalized guidance helping me developed a strong foundation in medical sciences their experience and knowledge have been invaluable.
AIIMS Nagpur Nagpur emphasizes on research provides hands on experience and exporter to Innovative medical practices it provides many opportunities for collaboration and learning.

Dislikes

I hope more activities will be introduced as the campus lack extra curricular activities and events.
The college is way to far from the city which takes waste of time to travel from City to the college if you want to buy some snacks etc.
I hope the institution will introduce more option

AIIMS Nagpur in brief: Everything you need to know

Likes

Faculty expertise and Teaching quality most teachers are from other Institute of National Importance (INIs)
Campus life and social interaction. The boys:girls ratio in my batch is 4:1
Events and Fest- The grand fest HALLUCIA and events of every culture

Dislikes

Gender ratio is 4:1 which is very less for an INI
Academic pressure is too much. Students are overburdened with the academics here.
Music room is very small and instruments are less. Fundraising here is needed at this hour.

AIIMS Nagpur : Are new colleges actually bad

Likes

Great campus with fresh buildings, greenery, fresh air, outside the city
Lots of well maintained sports facilities. Indoor sports are air conditioned
Great food in mess, two cafeteriaa also available

Dislikes

Outside the city, very far travel times if you want to eat out
Less cadavers for dissection, low patient inflow compared to colleges in the city
Concrete basketball court, slightly slippery, lacking swimming pool

Internships Opportunities:

Internship has to be within AIIMS Nagpur itself and lot of experience is gained by spending time in different departments of the hospital. Stipend is around 30k per month. You have to interact with patients, listen to them carefully and give them a diagnosis just like a real doctor. This also helps to build interaction skills.

Likes

Campus is well designed anf occupies a large area
College infrastructre is great and student friendly
Sports complex as well as other extra curriculars are well built

Internship happens after the last year of mbbs , providing opportunities to better interact with patients and also perform various procedures abd operations.It provides th real time experience of being a doctor.

Pros and cons of prestigious institute - AIIMS Nagpur

Likes

The study environment here in AIIMS Nagpur is totally awesome, we have such a good faculties and the medical related labs, hospital is very good
Sports facilities and gym facilities are also good
The hostel facilities are good here, the rooms and furniture provided is also good with clear bathrooms

Dislikes

Food quality in mess is not that good but as compared to money we pay for this it's just fine

Internships Opportunities:

The intership is given when you complete the study of 4.5 year with passing in final professional with more than 50% marks. The intership is of 1 year duration in which stipend of 30000 per month is offered to the students.

AIIMS Nagpur review by a 2nd year mbbs student

Likes

Faculties + quality of education - integrated classes with proper conceptual and practical knowledge
Opd and exposure to patients on daily basis and case presentations
Huge Library with almost all MBBS books And remains open 24 by 7

Dislikes

College is way distant than nagpur city , have to travel far
College and faculties are strict , strict attendance
Hostel Room is way smaller and no AC allowance

Internships Opportunities:

We have to do internship in our own college since OPD is here only . It includes 7-8 hours job along with weekly to monthly subject change and exposure - MEDICINE ,Surgery , ortho, radio , dermat all postings are there . The salary for interns is around 30k

AIIMS Nagpur, state-of-art tertiary care hospital and institute, complete review.

Likes

AIIMS Nagpur is very concerned in terms of academics. The theory lectures, practicals and the clinical postings are actually good.
The college is strict in terms of attendance and therefore, students need to maintain their classes schedule wisely.

Dislikes

Climate conditions of nagpur city makes it unfavorable for many students of different regions.

Internships Opportunities:

Internship happens in college itself for 12 months compulsory with stipend of Rs. 26,500/month. In terms of patients in flow, and admitted patients, internship load is decent. Since it is new college but amples number of patients are there to learn.

AIIMS NAGPUR: FAVOURING PROS

Though its one of the recently developed medical college,the growth has been tremendous in every aspect including infrastructure,academic and other facilities.This can be assured by skyrocketing cutoff of NEET UG of the college.
The facilities for students are worth mentioning.The college has got got national level library with almost all medical books.The hostel rooms are also very liveable.College has got almost all sports and cultural activities done.
AIIMS NAGPUR is one main the project from cabinet so the funding to the college is good.

Dislikes

Drawbacks can be its very far from main Nagpur city around 16km(though metro service is available).The weather of Nagpur can also be problematic for some.
Less alumini network( tbh medical field don’t require it that much)

Internships Opportunities:

As such there is no placements in MBBS. After 4.5 yrs of course there is a compulsory internship of one year with the stipend of around 30k in AIIMS.There is internal reservation(roster system) of 20% for the MBBS students of AIIMS in PG seats.

Beautiful campus with OPD, IPD and emergency blocks
Magnificent library open 24×7 with cafeteria
Large football ground, basketball court, volleyball court, gym facilities

Dislikes

Sometimes the security guard forgets to record attendance of students into the hostel

Internships Opportunities:

After completion of 4.5 years of MBBS course, the junior doctors must go through one year of compulsory internship in the same hospital. They will be provided with a salary of Rs. 30000 as per the pay structure set by the college.
