The admission portal for Bankura University (including the Purandarpur campus) opens around June–July for UG courses based on previous trends. For example, the UG admission portal opened from 18 June to 1 July in a recent session. For 2026, official dates are not announced yet, so check the website regularly.
Bankura University conducts admission tests on its own. The university will conduct an admission exam, and those who pass will advance to the interview stage, where they will be chosen for the M.Sc. programme. To be eligible for this course, the candidates must complete their graduation in B.Sc. with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks from a recognised board.
The PhD entrance exam at BU Purandarpur is to be held in October 2024.
There is no entrance examination conducted for admission to PG courses. Admission to the courses is done on the basis of marks secured in the previous qualifying examination (marks in graduation examinations).
