Diamond Harbour Women's University was established in the year 2012. It is the first university in the district of South 24 Parganas. The University has already started functioning from the academic year 2014-15 with the introduction of 2- year, 4- semester PG courses in six subjects; Bengali, English, History, Political Science, Education and Women’s Studies. Diamond Harbour Women's University invites the admission on merit-based.

- The campus is very big and beautiful with lots of greenery. Proper maintenance of the tree and plants in campus.
- Proper lift service. There are total three lifts which are fantastic and worked properly.

- In canteen... 2-3 dishes only available... Many more dishes needed for survival.

This years at DHWU were amazing. I am really glad that I joined DMWU for master degree. All staff was very supportive and inspiring. College campus always welcoming. In very cheap fees college provided all facilities. Which made easier to study for students with financial problems.

The college has structured the course curriculum for two years. It offers various specialisations and i have selected political science. Each semester has five subjects. Some of the subjects are Indian social and political ideas, constitutional politics of India etc.
