Likes

The culture side of the university is good
The fees is less compared to other university

Dislikes

The culture of the town is also decreasing day by day
The placement opportunities are decreasing

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

As it is a central university the yearly fees is 6000 and 12000 for general. We also get a yearly scholarship of 24000. We have to pay for our exam fees which is 300. The admission and yearly fees was less but it increased a lot 2 years ago.

Likes

Teachers of the university are very cooperative. They always think about the students.
The university is one of the oldest university of India. It is declared as a World Heritage Site by WHO. It's reputation is too good to the outer world.

Dislikes

The campus become old. So it needs some renovations.
There is a problem of transportation. Totos are little overpriced.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

In the time of admission I had to pay 6030 rupees as an OBC candidate and the same fees applicable for the General students also. For SC,ST and PWD students the admission fees is 5190 rupees. And after admission I have to pay 2080 rupees each year as well as the general studens also pay the same amount. On the other hand the fees for the SC,ST and PWD students have to pay 1240 rupees for 2nd,3rd and 4th year. And students have to pay also 320 rupees for each semester exam. Tution fee 840 rupees, Admission fee 2000 rupees, Registration fee 1000 rupees Library fee 150 rupees including Sports,SA, Medical, Student Aid,and Development fees of 1010 rupees are included in on those 6030 rupees. And the tution fees of 840 rupees are deducted from the admission fees of SC,ST and PWD students. For every student scholarships like Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship and NSP of an amount of 12000 rupees yearly available here.

Likes

The faculty here is great and that creates a great environment for the growth of your art
The campus life is also great as you can do your stuff at any point of time and all the departments are close by so you can explore new experiences there as well

Dislikes

The course also requires us to go other departments which are a little far but there is always transport available
The living conditions in the hostel is not so great

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The tuition fee is about 7k per year and lower if you have reservations.The stationery cost I would say you have to consider because it quite a lot and although the departments provide the expensive stuff you will have to get a certain amount of stationery

Here Professors are comparatively more friendly and accessible to the students
Seniors are here like Our Elder Brothers.Senior Junior Bonding is way far better than other colleges

Dislikes

Campus is open for all,any outsider can enter into the campus.
There is no exact Boundary and Gate for the college

Tution Fees or College Fees is comparatively very less than other colleges. University provides scharship but that is of very negligible amount.It should be improved. Hostel fees are reasonable.Not More

College give us bengali cultural vibes..
Visva Bharti's university library is very large.

Dislikes

The college has very slow administration process.
In hostel mostly warden are the teachers.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

While taking addmission in visva bharti university when fee option came it was just 6024 rupees only. The scholarship are available but is has some conditions. The college does not provide the any placement but give opportunity to different internship.

Meeting new people, culture, environment everything is good , a good place to spend time with friends
Fees is less compared to other government colleges

Dislikes

Food quality is not that good, but that's in most of the college's
It's a open university, so when we go out or roam the place, we find many people smoking

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

I don't remember much about this but, for first year they charge 8000-9000? for students and from next year it's 3000-4000? per year , for tution fees only. Hostel fees varies from hostel to hostel. I didn't get any kind of scholarship or financial aid, cause i have no idea about this.

Likes

The culture of VISVA BHARATI is quite unique. The university seeks to foster creativity, critical thinking and social responsibilities among its students.
People here are very helpful. It welcomes students and scholars from diverse background.

Dislikes

Some departments should clean their buildings regularly. Toilets are unhygienic.
Hostel food is not up to the mark. It's unhygienic.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The fee varies from year to year . As in first year it's less and as the semester goes it gets higher. But it's quite inexpensive as Visva Bharati is under central university. There are a number of scholarships which come like Mext,JAL,etc. Campusing has been stopped since covid.

Environment of our university is so much student friendly
Library is providing all types of facilities which is beneficial for self study

Dislikes

Faculty members are not updated there self in teaching process
Not all type of course is available here

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The cost of course is not so much expensive. Students aid fund is available for some selected students which was provided by our university. In library you can work as part time they gave salary also for this.

The nature, scalpture and kalabhaban area is very good.

Dislikes

College does not provide campusing this is a fault.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The fees of the course was 110000 rupees per year. For me there was no fees hike. For study the cost was surely high but for this type institution this was ok. I got swami vivekanand scholarship. Our institute do not provide campusing.

The main thing I like is the campus. It is full of greenary which keep our mind fresh.
The next thing is its culture. It holds our ancient civilizations.

Dislikes

I don't have any specific dislike for VBU.
One thing that I can mention that sometimes the exam gaps are not suitable for students.

The fees structure is not too costly. It is quit affordable for any kind of students according to their capabilities. Some scholarships are also given to the eligible students. Overall studying in this University is not too much costly.
