Uttarakhand Open University offers various UG and PG-level courses in a distance learning mode. At the UG level, the institute offers various courses like BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, BCA, Bachelor in Yogic Science, Bachelor of Tourism, Travel Management and Bachelor of Hotel Management. The eligibility criteria for UG are to pass 10+2 in a relevant stream.

For PG, it includes an MA in 11 specialisations, M.Sc with 3 specialisations, MCA with lateral entry, Master of Information Technology with lateral entry, Master of Geo Informatics with lateral entry, M.Com, MSW, LLM, M.A, Journalism & Mass Communication, MHM and MTTM. The eligibility criteria for admission require that candidates have a complete graduate degree in any relevant discipline. The selection of candidates in PG is based on first-come and first-served.
