As we all know dentists are not considered doctors for society people, but honestly speaking they are also doctors like MBBS they have their specialities in different things BDS are specialists in oral region diseases. The duration of the course is 5 years which we have proper 4 years of teaching and practical work and 1 yrs of fellow internship when I joined the BDS course I wasn't interested in this at all it was like why should I check their mouth or teeth all those smells and there stains but when the clinical posting started in 3rd year dealing with patients and all became so interesting and some of the subjects of BDS like oral and maxillofacial surgery, prostho, cons, are so interesting The RCT the dentures and prosthesis and the surgery extraction are interesting, it's like this if we consider the course with interest and study that with interest it is interesting and of you are doing this for a degree then it's just like a graduation degree which has no value in medical

Curriculum is designed for making us a dentist all prepared for the upcoming future. The subjects and practical's done in college is all based on real world applications. We have four exams per academic year. First terminal exams. Second terminal exams. Pre professional exams. Theory and practical's are both important and it is compulsory to pass in them separately. The difficulty level is moderate to high.

More practical based lectures can daily improve the grasping capacity of students. We have four exams per academic year for example, first terminal exam, second terminal exam prep professions, exam and professional exams, the above three counts as in internal assessment marks and the last one decides the overall marks of that year. Theory and practicals are both important and it is compulsory to pass in them separately. The difficulty level is moderate too high.

Santosh being a medical college , it comes under NMC and NMC decides the course of every medical college in india , every college has to follow that . Santosh does exactly that and provides us with best possible labs to work in and follow our curriculum. Medical courses have pre clinical and clinical years so for that santosh provides us training to work with them in our pre clinical years and we have best teaching faculty for that . For clinical years santosh has it's own teaching hospital and their doctors teach us and make us practice in their respective departments according to our curriculum .
I had a total of 5 exams, out of which 3 were internals, one pre-proff and one professional exam. Exams are moderately tough and checked very thoroughly. All faculties were very supportive in both accademics and non accademics
I have always been fascinated about teeth and how the most irregular ones can be aligned in a proper way giving a really natural look. Faculty in this college is in a good number and that too very knowledgeable ones. They are really good. They are highly qualified and teach us by presenting a lot of cases, practical ones. Exams conducted were mostly on time, except in the year of lockdown. And suffix it to say that if one studies properly, they won't have any problem in passing. Faculties provide a huge helping hand by taking numerous revision classes before exams.
