The UP NEET counselling body is responsible for organizing counselling for 85% of quota seats in the Medical and Dental colleges of Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh NEET Counselling 2025: Eligibility Criteria
To apply for Uttar Pradesh NEET Counselling 2025, aspirants need to fulfill certain eligibility criteria that are discussed below points:
- Nationality: Applicants must be Indian Citizens to apply for UP NEET Counselling 2025. All Indian citizens and OCI aspirants are eligible to apply.
- NEET Qualified: Aspirants should have qualified for the NEET 2025, to apply for Uttar Pradesh NEET Counselling 2025.
- Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed their 10+2 examination with Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology, Physics, and English as compulsory subject.
- Minimum Marks: The minimum mark required to qualify for Uttar Pradesh NEET Counselling 2025 is 50% of marks, whereas, for SC/ ST category candidates, the minimum mark required is 40% of marks and 45% of marks for Physically Handicap (PH) candidates.
- Age Criteria: To apply for Uttar Pradesh NEET Counselling 2025 aspirants must be within 17 to 25 years of age. Aspirants born on or after 02/01/2005 are not eligible for admission into MBBS or BDS Courses. Aspirants belonging to the reserved category will get an age relaxation of 5 years.
Domicile Holder: Those aspirants who are domicile holders of Uttar Pradesh state, can seek admission under the 85% state quota seats. Candidates who fulfill any one of the below-given criteria will be considered domicile holders of Uttar Pradesh.
- Aspirants whose father is a resident of Uttar Pradesh and they themselves are natives of Uttar Pradesh.
- Aspirants whose parents have been living in Uttar Pradesh state for three or more three years.
- Aspirants whose parents are working under the Govt. of India.
- Aspirants who are staying in a foreign country but have forefathers or direct ancestors who were residents of the UP.
- Aspirants who have passed their 10th and 12th standard examinations from Uttar Pradesh state need not have to show residency proof and will be eligible under this quota.
- Aspirants who have qualified for their 10th and 12th standard examination from Uttar Pradesh state have to give proof that either of their parents is a local resident of Uttar Pradesh.
