IIT BHU MTech admissions 2024 are open. IIT BHU MTech program is based on the GATE score followed by COAP counselling. Further, The institute has released the MTech Shortlist 2024, check the status @pgadmission.iitbhu.ac.in/register/shortlist.

The round 1 coap offers will be released on May 13, 2024. IIT BHU offers MTech program in 9 different specialisations namely Ceramic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics Engineering. IIT BHU offer these courses for a duration of 2 years divided into 4 semesters. 

IIT BHU grants admission to its MTech program based on the merit scores of GATE. However, the institute also conducts a written test and a personal interview. 30% of a candidate’s selection depend on the the personal interview round. For IIT BHU MTech admission 2024, candidates have to clear the tests and then they must register for COAP counselling 2024 to acquire a seat at the institute.

The IIT BHU M.Tech selection criteria is divided into two stages:

Stage 1: Candidates are selected on the basis of qualifying degree merit and GATE score

Stage 2: Selected candidates are called for Written Test/Interview. 

For selection in IIT BHU M.Tech, 70% weightage is given to GATE score and 30% to the PI. 

Candidates falling under the IIT BHU M.Tech eligibility criteria have to register for Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP). It is a centralized counselling process through which seats are allotted to shortlisted candidates. Only COAP registered candidates can participate in IIT BHU M.Tech admission. 

IIT BHU MTech: How to Apply?

Candidates have to first fill the IIT BHU admission form followed by COAP Counselling registration.

  • Fill the application form for IIT BHU M.Tech along with documents submission and application fee payment.
  • Visit the official website of COAP
  • Register for COAP Counselling 

Candidates having their names in the shortlist are required to appear for Interview/ Counselling form May 02 to May 09, 2024.Once the IIT BHU M.Tech registration is completed, COAP counselling rounds will commence. In each round of counselling candidates have to accept/reject the allotted seat. If the seat is accepted then admission fees are to be paid as confirmation of the same.

In the final IIT BHU selection process a total 30% weightage is assigned to the Interview. Candidates preparing for the IIT BHU M.Tech Interview must make a note of the following points.
