Eligibility Criteria
Aspirants seeking admission to the Program should have passed 55% marks in Master's degree for the admission in Applied & Humanities (Biotechnology and Immunology, Microbiology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English). However, 60% marks in Master's degree remaining Courses. Five Percent Relaxation in the minimum eligibility is provided to SC/ST Category Students.

I want to become Assistant Professor so I have opted for the Ph.D. program. Also, I have a keen interest in the field of literature so it is a good opportunity for me. The faculty members in the dept. of English of GLA University are very supportive and enthusiastic. They continuously push their students to do better and helps them to excel in their field of interest. Although GLA is a technical institution, it is equally good for the students who are interested in the subject of English. They run master's as well as doctorate programs in English literature, language, and linguistics. All the faculty members are Ph.D. holders or NET qualified and they are very professional in their work. From time to time assignments are given to the students which will enhance their academic skills. In the doctorate program, a student has to clear a coursework exam which is held after 6 months from the commencement of the course.
