Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University was established in 2008 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Eligibility
- The basic criteria for all the above-mentioned courses are clearance of 10+2 exams.
- However, for the B.Ed course, the student must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree with Science or Social or Humanities as the specializations with a 50% aggregate score. Or a B.Tech degree with Maths and Science subjects and 55% aggregate score.
- Students willing to join B.Com + LLB courses must have scored at least 45% aggregate in 10+2 exams. 5% relaxation is granted for students from SC/ST categories.
- To apply for a BPO course, the student must have taken up PCBE/PCME in 10+2 and cleared it with a 45% aggregate score.
- For the BASLP course, the student must have cleared 10+2 exams with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one optional subject with at least 50% aggregate score. The student must not be older than 25 years as on 1st July.
Selection Criteria
- The students will be allotted seats strictly based on merit score only i.e. marks scored in 10+2 exams.
- However, for BA, BBA, B.Com, and B.Com + LLB courses, even High School score will be taken into consideration with the following weightage:

Student with a valid 12th marksheet or diploma certificate and a valid JEE or CUET or state level qualifying exam scored card is eligible for the course. I gave JEE Main 2023 in which i got certain rank then i applied for AKTU Counseling which is conducted by Uptac. You have to complete your class 12 from any recognised board and then apply for JEE Main exam I am a SC Candidate and girl candidate because of which I got reservation The college could have started counseling process earlier so that students don't get stressed out

I got selection on the basis of merit list. Cut off was 82% in BSc. Application process was easy, you have to go to the dsmnru website and fill out the form, and then the university will release their merit list on their official website

- I've observed that there is not so much academic pressure on students from the teacher's side as well as from the administration's side. So, students can use this time to prepare for other things like placements,GATE,CAT,SSC etc.
- College campus is beautiful and there's so much Greenery.
Dislikes
- College should focus more on placements as they still lack behind in this domain.
- Protests taking place in college campus is quite common which disrupts the flow of classes and study. So , college administration should focus more on such incidents and find some solution.

I've got this college through UPSEE exam. But now, this college takes admission solely on the basis of JEE Mains marks and/or 12th class marks. Cut-offs vary for different category students. Computer Science and Engineering have highest strength.
