Bharathiar University PG and Diploma Admission 2024
The University offers a number of PG programmes including MA, M.Sc, M.Com etc. in multiple disciplines along with several diploma programmes such as PG Diploma in Environmental Education, Cheminformatics etc. In addition to it, the university also offers B.P.Ed and M.P.Ed programme along with MBA and MCA (Regular and Lateral Entry). Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of performance in an entrance test (60 marks) and in the qualifying examination (40 marks) upto V Semester / II year. The Entrance Test will be conducted in the university campus only.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must fulfill the following criteria to be deemed eligible for admission to most of the PG courses offered by Bharathiar university:
- Candidate should have passed with minimum 55% aggregate in marks at the undergraduate level from any recognized university in the country. The course must have been in a related field, and the viability of an acquired degree in terms of its applicability to the subject of the Master’s degree is at the discretion of the University.
- A relaxation may be given to reserved categories as per the regulations of the Government.
- For the M.Ed. degree, a B.Ed. degree is preferable, though BA with education related fields may be accepted.
- In case of Biochemistry, a minimum of 60% aggregate is required at the undergraduate level to apply.
- For M.Sc. programmes, Science stream with related subjects must have been a part of the curriculum at the undergraduate level.
- For courses in Economics or Econometrics, the following subjects are accepted: Economics, Econometrics, Mathematical Statistics, Business Economics, Commerce. Other related subjects may be considered at the discretion of the University.

The selection process varies depending on the course applied for. It may a direct one, where candidates either are offered the seats on a first come first serve basis depending on merit and availability, or based on the entrance examination conducted by the University. Bharathiar University MBA and MCA Admission 2024
In addition to the various PG courses mentioned above, the university also offers MBA (Master of Business Administration) and MCA (Master of Computer Application) programmes to the students. The application process remains the same for MBA, MCA programmes as for the other PG courses. In order to be eligible for admission to MBA, MCA programmes, the candidates should have appeared for TANCET Examination and possess valid TANCET scores.
Candidates must fulfill the following criteria to be considered eligible for admission to these courses.
- For MBA, candidates must possess an undergraduate degree from a recognized university along with the educational qualifications following the 10+2+3 format.

Bharathiar University M.Phil and Ph.D Admission 2024
The University offers M.Phil and Ph.D. courses in almost all the university departments with more than 37 specializations being offered. The general eligibility for admission to the research programs is a post-graduate degree in a related discipline. There are generally two sessions of applications accepted, in November and May, with the process being the same as the other courses offered by the university. The University conducts a Common Entrance Test for admission to the research programs, followed by a personal interview.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must fulfill the following criteria to be deemed eligible for admission to this university.
- Candidate should have passed with minimum 55% aggregate in a Master’s level degree from any recognized university in the country. The course must have been in the subject applied for, or in a related field as acceptable at the discretion of the university.
- A 5% relaxation may be given to reserved categories as per the regulations of the Government, i.e. 50% minimum requirement,
- At the discretion of the University Board, certain candidates may be exempted from the entrance examination, by virtue of them clearing prominent examinations such as NET or the equivalent.
Selection Process:
The selection process is based mainly on the performance in the entrance examination conducted by the University.
- The entrance test consists of questions covering general areas, as well as subject specific and research oriented questions.
- Candidates who obtain satisfactory marks in this entrance test may also have to participate in a personal interview.
- The final merit list is based on a cumulative grading of performance in the entrance examination, personal interview, and the qualifying degree scores (Master’s level).
Exemption from the written test:
- M.Phil. degree holders need not appear for common entrance test, however they will be required to appear for the interview.

Bharathiar University Application Process 2024
Candidates seeking admission to PG Degree/ Diploma courses can apply through online or offline mode. Interested students can register themselves online through the official university website and submit the required fee through available payment modes. Students can also apply offline by obtaining the application form and submitting it upon completion along with the processing fee for Rs. 300/- as Registration fee (Rs.150 /- for SC / ST candidates) through Demand Draft and necessary enclosures.
Offline Registration:
- Students can obtain the prescribed the application form in person from university office at a cost of Rs.300/- to be remitted by a Bank of India Challan (into the Genral fund Account of Bharathiar University) or a demand draft of any Nationalized Bank. Demand Draft (DD) should be dated not earlier than April 17 and must be drawn in favour of the Registrar, Bharathiar University and payable at Coimbatore.
- In case of SC/ST candidates, the fee is Rs. 150/-provided they produce an attested Photo copy of his/her community certificate along with the request for application.
- Candidate shall also send a self addressed envelope (28 x 13 cms) affixing Rs. 60/- stamp along with the application form

- The building infrastructure is good. Full of trees helps to breathe good air.
- The sports committee is very good and they help students to reach big level.
Dislikes
- The teaching is not good and faculties need extra care to students
- The placement is not well at this college. They didn't provide valuable placement to students.

Their is no cut off marks required to get admission. First come first serve process is followed. We find application form in college admission cell. The exams will conducted every month and 3 months once semester will be conducted.
Likes
- Comparing to other hotel management colleges, its one of the leading institute in all aspects.
- As they have hotel management as their only mainstream, they completely focus on their subjects as well as they give immense practical knowledge
Dislikes
- Hotel management is a very difficult and sacrificing work and the college won't explain about the drawbacks while admitting you inside
- The grooming rules will be Strictly followed but still it helps you in industry

To be frank, there are no such criteria that you should have so much of marks or other CGPA and percentage in your boards and it's enough to have a basic qualification that is a pass mark of 50 percentage to get admitted into this college admission process will be simple and then any complications and everything will be carried out by the head office department admission process is good and there are no suggestions to be mentioned and everything is fine.

- This college has many course divisions , so we choose according to our need

- Due it's placement facility many students tends to join in this college so it may be crowded in some classes
- There are 2 cafeteria and their is only limited foods available

The admission process was quite easy one . The cut off is not more than 60 percentage and there should be some improvement in admission process . I think it's some what slow process and it would be helpful if it is a fast process.

The admission process is totally online and the admission fees is about 60rs. Anyone can apply for the admission in my clg but there is no engineering in my clg so it suitable for the arts and science students

- The faculty's expertise and teaching methods are really good and it helps us students to understand topics during classes
- The overall infrastructure is quite good

- The gym facility in the college is not that great
- The washrooms need to be more near and tidy

Eligibility- 12th pass 60% and should take IP or computer science as a secondary subject. You can find the admission application either online via going to the college. In my personal opinion, there is no need to improve the admission process.

- Eco friendly college with free wifi connection all over the college for the students
- Faculty members are highly qualified and very helpful

- The restrooms and classrooms maintenance
- Library should contain more books apart from course books

I joined the college as one of my frnd was a pass out of this college. She had great reviews about the college and is working under the placement of the college. She provides with the number for further information. Therefore the admission process was really simple and smooth without any issues.
Likes
- There is lot if exposure on research areas. Students have oppurtunities to attend various national and international conferences.
- It is green and clean campus. Everywhere surrounded by green trees and plants as fresh environments.
Dislikes
- Students parking slot is at back gate entrance not in front gate entrance.
- Information is not properly channeled. Delayed and not properly pre-planned.

Students who passed grade12 with Biology are eligible for this course. You can find application form online also, you can visit campus directly. About exams, there will be one internal exam, model, and final exam per semester. Admission process is real quick and easy.

- Campus is really great and most of the students are friendly
- Many facilities like gyms, general stores, atms etc are available

- Cost of items at the general store and foodcourt
- Delivery riders are not allowed to deliver food within campus and cant take food to room

The admission process was pretty smooth ot started with a counselling session in which i got my seat in the program then there was a document verification session. The only problem with the admission process was the duration of the document verification session

- Firstly, I really enjoyed the college's infrastructure and the various varieties of canteens provided with food which are really incredible!
Dislikes
- Sometimes, cultural events conducted inside the college is less so we want to go to other colleges to showcase our talents.
- The distance from main gate to our arts college is more , which drains out our energy in the morning especially during sunny days.

Eligibility of the course is atleast 50% in board exams after completing 12th standard with commerce as stream of study. Applications can be done after declaration of 12th board exam results. The process of applying was good for me and the staffs coordinated well. Everything was fine regarding admission.

What is the procedure to pursue B.Com in Bharathiar University after completing IPCC?
If you are planning to pursue a B.Com degree after completing IPCC, it is suggested you do it through IGNOU.
It provides exemptions in certain subjects for those who have completed CA-IPCC through a special agreement with ICAI. Madras University also offers the same.
Though you also have to submit assignments when you do it from IGNOU and you can get B.Com there in the first year.
