Ques. What is the exam pattern for the Ph.D. RET test conducted by IIS University?

Ans. The research entrance test is conducted by the IIS university for admission to PhD courses. The exam will have a duration of 2 hrs and 15 minutes for non-mathematical and non-language papers and 2 hrs and 30 minutes for languages and mathematical papers.

The pattern of RET for subjects other than languages is:

  • The paper will consist of 100 multiple choice questions of 1 mark each.
  • The first 50 questions will be to test the knowledge of the candidates about research methodology, logical and analytical thinking, language skills, etc.
  • The next 50 questions will be based on specialized discipline. 
  • There will be no negative marking in the examination.

  • The test will consist of 50 MCQs of 1 mark each and 2 descriptive questions of 25 marks each.
