Guru Kashi University (GKU) has been established by the Act of the Legislature of the state of Punjab. Guru Kashi University is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) and has approvals and recognitions from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Indian Council of Agricultural Research(ICAR), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) etc.

Guru Kashi University has 12 colleges under it and provides education at all levels in disciplines like Engineering, Management, Humanities, Pharmacy, Arts, and many more.

For B.Tech, the candidate should have passed 10+2 from a recognized board. University also accepts LEET admissions to B.Tech. programmes.

Admission to other UG and PG courses is based on the merit of the candidate. For M.Tech, the candidate should have min 50% marks in bachelors in the same discipline

For an MBA the candidate must have completed his graduation or equivalent.

Admission to PhD is done on the basis of an Entrance Test.For PhD, candidate should have completed post-graduation in the relevant discipline with min 55% marks

Candidates can register by filling the Online/offline application form available on the university’s official website.

Ques. How to reach the campus?

Ans. It is located in Talwandi Sabo Distt. Bathinda, direct trains are available from Bathinda to Talwandi.Talwandi Sabo is a religious place located at a distance of 25 K.M. from Bathinda in the cotton belt of Punjab. BUs and TRain are availble from Bathinda railway station and Bust Stand

Ques. Is accommodation provided to the students?

Ans. Sufficient Hostel facility is available on the campus itself. Hostels are having all the modern facilities including the internet. It has got five boys' and one girls' hostel.First year boys hostel are situated out of main campus of GKU to avoid any ragging problem. Ragging is totally banned in the campus / hostels.Further all the Hostels are provided round the clock security for the safety of the students.

Ques. Is there any library in the university?

Ans. GKU Library provides resources and technologies needed for research and teaching. The library currently has a collection of over 54000 books and 100 journals. Further, faculty and students have access to several online databases and e-books. Details of books and journals is available on the university official website.

Ques. Is there any Banking service available near the campus?

Ans. Yes, inside the university campus there is a branch of INDIAN Bank which also provides ATM services inside the campus. Also, there is a HDFC bank branch near the campus which is near the bus stand, Talwandi Saboo.

Teachers are very supportive and always available for help.
Well maintained labs and classrooms. Smart classes are also available in all classrooms.

Dislikes

Buildings are old needed to be renovation.
Sometimes locals disturb the students or bully them.

This university offers cheaper course in the compare of other colleges as it comes under 375000 including hostel charges and course fee. Admission process is very easy in this university just come and take admission.

Environment is great. I had no problems in settling
The canteen is good and the food served their is delicious.

Dislikes

Their are too many students in one class.
The view is not quite good while sitting at back benches.

Admission:

I don't applied for any other colleges or universities because when I was in +2 class , I already decided to get admission in guru Kashi university, talwandi sabo. It was not that difficult to get admission in this university but we have to follow some procedures to get admission.

Equality among the students should be improved. And respect each the student.
Every staff members are good at joining after that we have to do everything. Here and there.

Dislikes

Equality rights should be there for the student applications
1 day late for examination fee you have to pay fine nearly 2000/-

The staff is very Co-operative. Generally the cooperation is note likely to seen in private colleges.
Diversity of students is there. Students from different states and countries.

Dislikes

Most of the staff members are not of doctoral qualification.

Admission:

Eligibility is 10+2 with biology/ mathematics/ agriculture. The admission process is very simple. Just visit and get enrolled. No improvement is required in the admission process. Reservation only to SC and ST people.

Hostel life is good as there is good wifi mess and other facilities according to the fee structure

The class and hostel infrastructure is very good

Dislikes

The south indian food in mess is not tastes as well as in South India. The south Indians should adjust for food
There is very cool environment during winter it is good if they provide heaters in class room

There is no entrence exam . I joined through my merits based on my intermediate percentage. There is no reservation benefits For eligibility of my course (Agbsc) student should complete 12th (MPC or bipc) or deploma

I like my university environment very well there is very greenary. A very large area with full facilities.
Good infrastructure and good placements are avalible for my cource agbsc

Dislikes

There is food problem for south indians because there no south indian food is available if avalible itdoed not tastes good in university mess
During winter there is very cool environment it is very difficult for south indians better if they provide heaters in class room.

Admission:

I haven't written any entrence exam to join in this university. I have joined in this university through my merits based on intermediate percentage. For eligibility of this course (Agriculture bsc) students who have studied intermediate (Bipc or mpc) or diploma.

I took direct admission through an agency service. Entrance examinations are not done at my university. The admission process can be done on a merit basis(On considering ICAR or NEET) and through direct admission.

Eligibility is Intermediate medical/non-medical You can find the application form at GKu.ac.in the website or at the University admission cell. The admission fee is a 2500 one-time charge. No reservations are provided to students. No improvement I want to see in the admission process.
