DAV University is a private university located in Jalandhar, Punjab. It was founded in 2013 under the aegis of DAV Trust. At present, the university offers various UG, PG and Doctoral courses in the field of Engineering, Arts, Commerce, Education, Science, Computer Applications and Management. Application form for all the courses offered by DAV University can be filled online or from the university campus on payment of INR 1000 as application fee.
- Admission to all UG and PG courses is based on candidates’ performance in DAV University Entrance cum Scholarship Test (DAVUET) followed by counselling.
- In the case of B.Tech admission, JEE Main qualified candidates are also eligible to apply.
- Apart from DAVUET, GATE passed candidates are also eligible to apply for M.Tech program.
- For MBA, the university conducts DAV University MBA Eligibility Test (DAVUMET). CAT/ MAT passed candidates are exempted form DAVUMET.
- DAV University conducts separate entrance test followed by an interview to offer admission in Ph.D. program.
- UGC NET/ UGC CSIR (JRF)/ SLET/ GATE/ Fellowship Holders OR M.Phil degree holders are exempted from DAV Ph.D. Entrance Test. Such students need to appear in the interview round conducted by the university.

At the undergraduate level, DAV University offers B.Tech (Regular) and B.Tech (Lateral) in various disciplines. Candidates passed in 10+2 level or equivalent in with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from are eligible to apply. DAV University offers M.Tech degree at PG level for the duration of two years for regular students and three years for under part-time mode. BE/ B.Tech in the relevant discipline is the minimum eligibility criteria for admission. The university conducts DAVUET to offer admission. - I liked the interaction between student and teacher and the way they put there efforts.
- Clean and hygienic environment and the overall vibe is good. And whole campus is wifi available
Dislikes
- The hostel food is not very good and very poor breakfast.
- The lab equipment are not much available and practical work is not according to master level.
Admission:
I only apply for Himachal Pradesh University and I am not selected there. And the reason to choose this university is not particular, I am recommended by a friend. Rejection from HPU because I can not qualify the entrance exam. Admission process is simple. yo visit with your document pay the fees and its done.

- This university also provide moot court session for law students

- There is nothing to dislike , everything is excellent

Actually i get to know about this university from my brother's friend, he completed his degree in mechanical dept. in this reputed university. And when i came here i get to see lot of opportunities and resources which help us to opt for the future.

- Environment is safe compared to other university.
- Teachers are supportive and with excellent skills.
Dislikes
- Not recruiting teachers by thier experience.
- Not having transportation facility within the blocks.(from one block to another)

I got only this university over my preference. For admission process the eligibility criteria is having atleast 50% (45% for ST/SC candidates ) in graduation from a recognised university. The university doesn't conduct any entrance exam.

- Infrastructure is really nice according to fees
- Some classes have Air conditioners in them.
Dislikes
- Though classes have ACs but they don't work sometimes
Admission:
I chose this college mainly because of the affordable fees it offers and a really good infrastructure. The faculty members are supportive here and encourage extra curricular activities along with studies . The admission process takes half a day. You come in the morning around 12 and till 4 or 5 , you will be done with admission.

- Security is very low and even there is very less placement in here

Firstly it was very convenient as it was near to my house and my parents suggested this that's why I applied for guru Nanak Dev university and I was selected in it and even Chandigarh university too I was selected

- Lack of management in some fields which need to be managed
- Students paying less fee are offered more facilities thn us

I didn't apply to any other college, as i was very much sure of taking admission in this university from the very start, because i wanted to do my degree from an university rather thn any college bcz of placements

- The college auditorium and the ac must be placed in every classroom and even in teachers room
- Full engagement in every field in university campus

- Campus is very small and also not very green no.
- Mess food is very bad they needs to improve themselves . Still we have to eat

Actually the fees of this university is very less as compared to other private universities. And other private universities there is limited seats but in this there is no limited seats. You can apply online as well as offline for the admissions . The students must complete there 12th from any boards with minimum 45 percentage. There is no exams for the admission in this university

- Faculty and staff is really helpful and understanding. They try their best to help every student and make them comfortable
- Environment and discipline is top notch. Campus is neat and clean and open
Dislikes
- Canteen has no chairs to sit. Only standing tables are there that too unbalanced
- It's too hot in summer in classes. Very difficult for students to study and teachers to teach.
Admission:
Eligibility of the course is 50% marks in 12th standard from any board. Admission process is not so difficult. You jut need to carry all important documents with you. Application form cost around rs. 500 and it starts from May and goes till July without any penalty for late admission but after that they charge some extra ammount. No entertane exam is conducted.

- Here the same childish feelings come which never seem to happen
- There is a lot of pressure regarding fees during exam time.

After +2 everyone is eligible to do the course here, there is the website davu.org where all the details can be found, students can also enroll online from there whichever they want And as far as exams are concerned, there are three levels in it, high, medium and low, study on the basis of your mind, whoever we are can pass the exam on that basis
