My Overall Experience of Ravenshaw University

Likes

The classes were regularly conducted in my department and exams taken seriously
Quite a few cultural, sports, and literary events were organised that kept the environment of the University lively.

Dislikes

The exposure to different sorts of themes and activities was lacking in the environment.
The crowd is not very diverse which is a minus point when it comes to a student seeking that.

Fees and Financial Aid:

One of the things about Ravenshaw University that makes it the top 3 choice of all students in Odisha is its affordability. The college fee is just under 10000 for regular Bachelor courses (self finance is high). You just need to pay 200 to 250 for each semester as the exam fee (excluding the fee in case you have back paper) and a readmission fee each year, which is under 1000. For students from extremely poor background who can't afford it, there's several scholarship by the Odisha govt. that they apply for and the university accepts. The campus jobs mostly comes for courses like ITM, B.Com, Computer Application, etc. The humanities domain doesn't really see any campus placement.

The college is located at a good location
The transportation facility to the college is also good

Dislikes

The infrastructure of the college is not so good
The college is not having a decent library

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fee structure includes only the tuition fees and the exact fee hike is not known to us, However, I did not get any scholarship as I was not eligible, and neither did I take any kind of financial assistance.

Likes

Our campus gives the vibe of a study environment.
It is full of trees, all greenary scenarios made our life more beautiful.

Dislikes

The drainage system especially in the rainy days.
Sometimes Class time clash with the lunch time.

Fees and Financial Aid:

We have to spend Rs 500 every year as a re-admission fee. And with that, we have to spend Rs 250 as a fee every semester. Where as students of practical subjects like education, geography, and psychology students have to pay Rs.300. Also I applied for a state scholarship.

Likes

Campus is very good. It's feel like a natural peace.
And the event, seminar, fest etc are so excited to student and relaxing.

Dislikes

About the infrastructure, it's so nice of a time but after many years it need to re construct.
And about the facility of placement and scholarship it's really need to be improve.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Actually, it's rarely discussed about scholarships and internships. Fees are ok, not very expensive, and ok with benefits. I have applied for a state scholarship but about the internship, we may need to know more and get facilities.
