What CAT percentile do I need for IIM Indore?

IIM Indore invites freshers with 97.5+ in CAT. Those with 90+ in 10th, 12th and graduation may receive a call at 97+. Work experience and an impressive educational and professional record may result in a call at 96 percentile. But 96 is the minimum requirement for a GEM (General Engineer Male) to receive a call from IIM Indore. For someone who belongs to a quote of any kind, the minimum requirement may further relax. But a call from IIM Indore does not mean anything unless you perform well in the WAT and PI rounds. Only after performing well in WAT and PI can you expect to receive admission at the college.

How much mark should I score in IPMAT to ensure my admission to IIM-INDORE'S IPM?

IIM Indore uses a holistic approach to select candidates for its courses. So there’s no minimum score in IPMAT that can guarantee a call. For final selection, the IPMAT score, past academic record, work experience (if any) and interview performance of a candidate are all given weightage. Aim for the best results in IPMAT, but keep in mind that these scores won’t solely get you a seat into IIM Indore. The competition is quite high, so try to score as good as possible, and leave no stone unturned. Instead of focusing on a particular score, make it your goal to perform your level best in the IPMAT. You can check the previous year IPMAT (overall and section-wise cutoffs) to get a basic idea of the minimum requirement.

How much marks did you score in IIM Indore's IPMAT (to IPM STUDENTS)?

One of my friends graduated from IIM Indore and here’s what I got to know from him. The students were only shown their composite scores in the exam from the 2015 IPMAT. The exact marks in the exam are not provided. My friend had gotten a score of 64.3 with the highest reaching 85 and the cutoff for the interview being 42. The formula for the computation of the composite score is 60 (Candidates Quant score – Minimum score) / (Maximum score - Minimum score) + 40 in Candidates Verbal Score – Min score/ Maximum score – Minimum score). From my friend’s guesses, she had attempted around 80 questions with an accuracy of around 85 to 90%. So my friend’s marks in the exam must have been between 260-280 (following the +4, -1 marking scheme). So you can assume that a score of 64 translates to around 270. But do keep in mind that the cut offs of the aptitude test changes every year.

What is the cuttoff for IIM Indore -IPM Aptitude Test?

Any score over 200 on the IPM Aptitude Test is generally considered to be safe. However, those with a score of roughly 180 are also invited to the PI round. In order to increase your chances of converting calls, you must work to maximize your aptitude test score. IIM Indore IPM requires sectional IPMAT Cutoffs other than the general IPMAT cutoff. Therefore, its crucial to perform well in each section. There will only be 2 subjects in the IIM Indore IPMAT: Quantitative Aptitude Verbal Ability It is advised that you take both exams. In both exams, the verbal portion is largely the same. The sectional cut-off and overall cut-off are difficult to determine because they depend on a number of variables.

What are the chances of getting into IIM Indore IPM if my OBC rank is 61?

One of my friends opted for both Indore and Rohtak. He only got into the waiting list for Rohtak through the EWS Category Rank 80. It is actually a bit hard to get admission at IIM Indore. According to a trend, which emerged from IIT and NIT, students are dropping out of their colleges to enroll in Indore because of its tremendous growth in the past few years. This has provided immense opportunities to students related to internships and work. If you are an IIT/NIT aspirant and still confused whether you should choose Management from Indore or Engineering from IIT in sync with your interest in finance, entrepreneurship or consultation then you must go for Indore. It will also develop your business too. During the 2nd merit list in 2020, students from NC/OBC category up to the merit rank of 47 got an admission offer. So, if we analyze from that, then youd have a better chance after the result announcement of JEE Advanced.

Can a general category student convert IIM Indore or Shillong at 92 percentile? (With a reasonably okay WAT-PI) (with good academics but as a fresher)

While the selection process for admission to IIM Indore and IIM Shillong varies from year to year and depends on various factors such as the number of applicants, the quality of the applicant pool, and the cut-offs set by the institutes. It is generally considered challenging to secure admission to these institutes with a 92 percentile in the Common Admission Test (CAT) as a general category student. But if you are from the EWS category then it is not that difficult. Also, the CAT percentile is just one of the criteria that are considered for admission to IIMs, institutes also take into account several other factors such as academic performance, work experience (if any), and performance in the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). If you have a strong academic record, try and perform well in the WAT-PI, and if you are able to demonstrate your potential for academic excellence and leadership, then you have a good chance of securing admission to IIM Indore or IIM Shillong.

The admission process is through CAT. You can fill the form for all the IIMs you want to apply for on the same portal. I secured 98.66 percentile in 2021 and received a PI from IIM I. The criteria for PI calls also gave major weightage to 10th and 12th percentage.

Yes to get into any of the IIM we have to appear in the CAT exam. thus I appeared in CAT'22 and got a 92.36 percentile. being belonged from the reserved category i.e. OBC I was able to get into after clearing the ig waitlist. the eligibility of the PGP curriculum is to be graduated in any discipline. the application form for the CAT exam will be filled through online mode only. as I elonged from the reserved category I was able to secure admission into iim indore as the cutoff for the same will be lower than general. the admission process is like first you have to get clear the cut-off and then the gdpi calls should be made once you cleared the same you will be admitted into the college.

IPM in a summary.

What is the best things about IPM at IIM Indore has to be the campus life. It is one of the first opportunities that a student gets to come and live outside his home. The system is a such that a student remains almost busy the entire day.
The hostels are very well equipped and are comfortable.

The toxic culture which is very common at iims.
Lack of exposure because of campus rules.

There is a lot of emphases given to the examination called integrated program in management aptitude test. It basically tests the students on quants, va and lr. This emphasis can be reduced and more weightage can be given to components like GD and interviews.

The eligibility criteria for IIMs is the CAT exam. Your CAT score along with your 10th/12th/Grad marks and your work experience is taken into account and a specific weightage is given to each. IIM Indore gives a lot of weightage to your previous scores. You go through an interview round to get selected for the course.
