IIM Indore - Review

4.3 /5

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is well structured for all domains. You can choose the electives of the domain you're more interested in. The profs are good and the student faculty ratio is well maintained. As far as the difficulty of the exams is concerned it doesn't matter as much because the grading is relative.

Internships Opportunities :

You can find the details related to the above in the placement reports. A lot of companies do come to the campus for various roles and from different industries. You would most likely be able to find one that aligns with your interests.

Fees and Financial Aid :

The fee is in line with all the top B schools. The cost to study is obviously a bit on the higher side. For general category students there are not much scholarships or benefits you can avail in terms of financial assistance.

Campus Life :

There are multiple fests that keep happening on the campus over the year. The classrooms are equipped with ACs and white boards. You can always make the time for the sports facilities which includesn2 gyms, an Olympic swimming pool, badminton court and much more

Hostel Facilities :

There is single accomodation for the PGP students. The hostels are good and well maintained and the room is spacious enough. The mess food is also fine. It is mandatory to subscribe to the mess during the first year of the program, but in the second year you can choose at your own discretion.

Admission :

The admission process is through CAT. You can fill the form for all the IIMs you want to apply for on the same portal. I secured 98.66 percentile in 2021 and received a PI from IIM I. The criteria for PI calls also gave major weightage to 10th and 12th percentage.

Interview Experience :

There was a direct PI. The questions were related to HR and previous academics. There were some questions on probability and statistics as I come from a maths background. I prepared for the interview from the coaching I had and also reviewing the answers I had made.

70% of students are placed in campus selection. The highest package was 5.5 LPA and the average package was 2.5 LPA. Top recruiting organizations are government and MNC companies etc. Internships are also good in our college, students get internships in many companies also. Admission:

There was no entrance exam conducted, it was done on the direct admission process. It was like a first come first serve policy. I went to college and had some counseling from them and then I was explained about the fees and courses. I submitted the required documents and submitted a form and then my admission is granted.

Placement Experience:

My college offers placement and job opportunities. It is taken care of by the placement cell from my college. They invite recruiting companies like Aitel, Pay TM, etc and the company an then the students are placed. I think there are around 20 students were placed from my batch.
