Student's Aid Fund Scholarship
Kerala University provides financial assistance to needy students through Student's Aid Fund Scholarship.

This scholarship is offered to the students whose family income is INR 25,000 annually.

The candidates need to have the Income Certificate of the working parent granted by the village officer

Student's Group Personal Accident Insurance Scheme (SGPAIS)

This scholarship scheme covers the medical expenses of the students in case of accidents up to INR 25,000 and a death claim up to INR 1,00,000.
The premium for the scholarship is INR 25 per student.

Kerala University Merit Scholarships

Kerala University awards scholarship to Undergraduate students who score 55% marks in HSE/ VHSE/ CBSE/ ISC Examination held immediately before the date of their admission to the College. The Scholarships are tenable for a period of three years and shall be awarded only to students who pass the HSE/ VHSE/ CBSE/ ISC examination at the first attempt securing not less than 55% marks.

The amount awarded as scholarship is INR 2,500 per annum to 188 students each.

The university also provides University Merit Scholarship to Postgraduate students who possess a First Class Bachelor’s Degree obtained at the University Examinations held immediately proceeding the award of the scholarship. In the absence of eligible candidates from the immediately preceding University Examination, candidates who had obtained a first-class in a previous examination at the first appearance may also be considered.

The scholarship awarded amounts to INR 3000 per annum which is given to 169 students for the two years of duration.

Likes

The college has very friendly campus with great ambience
The college has affordable canteen and cafe.

Dislikes

The campus has poor waste management system.
The campus lacks working water drinking facilities at some areas.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

Fees to be paid per year is around Rs.9000. Including examination and tution fees. Registration fee was around 8000. And I donot recieve any scholarships and financial aids at the moment. I am not aware about any other scholarships.

College staffs are helpful and covers all portions
Friendly batch mates from all around kerala

Dislikes

The college doesn't have a proper campus and the outside area is not great either.
The college doesn't have ground or any space

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The yearly fees is arond 54000 which includes tuition fees and other mandatory college funds. I got the merit seat and for management seat the yearly fees add up to almost 1 lakh . The college doesn't provide any scholarship. I had for egrants scholarship but it's not active i think as no money has been received nor there been any reduction in college fees.

The freedom that comes with being part of the government institution and having the opportunity to ask for changes from management if they took harmful decisions
Choices in project work were entirely ours and the guides are only there to help along the way and not dictate the project as a whole

Dislikes

Faculty availability for subjects were scarce
Faculty were not helpful at all in the learning process all of it is self study

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

First semester fees including exam registration and college fees was around 14k. Then each semester, there is college fees around 5k and University registration fees for each semester examination that costs around 5k (depending on number of subjects and lab) Each lab exam fee is 500. Other categories like SC/ST have reduced fees.

Dislikes

All staffs even though they have pursued high degrees don't know to treat students. Don't expect to have a peaceful life here,the management is highly unfriendly.
There are no proper atrs and sports fest..they show no interest in such extra curricular activities..it's we who conduct the very little we have and don't expect to leave college with a big grand graduation and all...none here supports it.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

Tuition fees is 3,50000 Special fees- 65000 Other fees 20000 Hostel fees 65000+50000 for message When it comes to OBC students thers special fees and message fees plus you have to pay for textbooks record and also dental materials even after paying so much...this is the least amount they take And exam fees is around 2000 and if are rewriting the exams you will have to pay 10k-35000k There is scholarship for OBC and SC/ST students but it doesn't count...we have to pay a lot of extra money thought the academic year

The ambience and infrastructure of college is very good. The buildings are very asthetic. They clean it every day. Also they clean the campus daily.
The faculty is also good. They are aware of their duties. Attendance is marked correctly.

Dislikes

Exam schedule is not always given on time and changes are made on dates more often.
Result, improvement and revaluation is not done in order. Students want to pay extra fee due to this inconvenience.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

I have to pay almost 1500 rupees per year. The fee changes according to lab fees. Caution fee and PTA fund together I paid around 4000 - 5000 rupees. The SC, ST, students don't want to pay yearly and exam fee. Exam fee is about 505 rupees per semester. There are so many scholarships for students like E-grants, one girl child, etc.

I love the beauty of the campus. It has a vintage vibe.
Teachers are absolutely best. Each of them have unique teaching ideas

Dislikes

As it is situated in city the water for college is from corporation. So Sometimes we don't get water if there is any work
One thing is that Our college has Poor infrastructure

I'm in my final year. As far i didn't had to pay any fees because i have e grants concession. It is a scholarship like program which provides financial aid to students who are eligible for certain criteria including the annual income of parents. But still i had to pay pta fund. For other students they had to pay around 2000 rupees per year. There are other scholarships too for students. And some of them gets around 8000 to 12000 rupees.

My college has many professional tutors and professors and they are very experienced so that we get maximum attention.
It is an art-based college and this help us to improve our artistic skills.

Dislikes

It is highly a party based college so that there are many disturbances.
There is no effective mechanism for cleaning the premises which has led to the spreading of diseases like dengue fever.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

Our college is a government college and the fees are lower than other colleges. The students who are economically weaker sections get Egrants. I have EWS certificate and get the Egrants. Tuition fee is 1200rs,as I am studying a science subject . Some of my batchmates have to pay 2000rs ,as they do not get any scholarships .

I love the ambience and the cultural heritage of the campus. As our college was established long ago it holds a traditional beauty.
We have a canteen in campus and i like to spend my free time there with my friends.

Dislikes

The one thing i dislike the most is our department is strict in ones monthly attendance
The next thing is that Our college has poor infrastructure

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

I have e grants concession. Students who availed for e grants doesn't have to pay fees As government provide the necessary amount for them to pay fees. Thus at the time of admission i didn't had to pay fees. But every one should pay an amount to the parents teachers association. Other students in my batch who doesn't get e granys concession has to pay around 1800 to 2000 per year. Other than that government provide many other scholarship for eligible students

I have e-grants concession so I doesn't have to pay fees .But I spending lots of money for my hostel accomodation.Our college doesn't provide govt hostel for Geography students. In private hostel monthly fees were 6500/-( per month).we can't afford these fees .Our college doesn't have a seperate hostel for college.we only have Kerala University hostel .This was the main problem affecting by hostelers.

Qualified teachers. Almost all teachers have done their phd. Knowledge shared by them is more effective.
Arts festival conducted each year helps students to improve their creative thoughts and ideas

Dislikes

Misbehavior of the staffs of iqac.They dont even care for students who are coming for taking printouts.It is easy to students to take print outs as there is an iqac, other wise we need to walk a long distance to take it. Irresponsible staffs are here
Disregard of the office staffs.They make wait us to get even a single seal even if they are free.They go to their own business during college time and raise up to us.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The faculties here are highly qualified and classes are effective. But the infrastructure is too bad. Student's basic amenities are not at all fully covered.The college is in a vast area and departments are scattered all over the area.Only one amenity centre is available for girl students.And it is difficult to reach the amenity centre as it is in a corner of the college.Water scarcity is also an issue.As a student i think each department should have its own toilets. Students are suffering from diseases due to mosquitoes as the surroundings are not clean. Only annual cleaning is there.I think each month college surroundings should be swept out.
